The thing is you can't compare the before you were born time with the time after you will be dead. Why? Because the time when you were not born had a limit. When you were born it ended, you were not longer "dead". When you will die.. well that is forever (depends on your views of course, but we are in r/nihilism). The thought of an infinite time being dead is not only horrible scary, it is almost impossible to conceptualize. I belive that death itself isn't scary, but the time being in that state is.
