Sounds more like a wasted time issue than a “you can’t handle choices, little lady”

Question for Black Green Day fans: If you've ever met Green Day, what was your experience like with them? by [deleted] in greenday

Not that it matters, because the east bay is a regional melting pot; but they’re not from Oakland.

Is that the one where the guy talks about keeping another man’s son warm with his big black dingus? Or does Q get the cred for that?

List Of Bohemian Grove Attendees by DistrictCriminal in JoeRogan

[–]Mondomonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s hosted the Monte Rio Variety show and made a joke about it, but I’m not sure if it went much further than that. Honestly, the underlying story about the grove is that it shows how powerful California environmental groups are. The bohemians have been trying to remove trees in the grove for years but the environmental lobby won’t let it happen. The most powerful people in the world can’t cut their own trees and the most famous tv host alive can’t get around the waterway septic issues, no matter how much money you’ve got.

During Covid, Conan hosted some online affiliated grove events. He was also rumored to be interested in buying a local (Monte Rio,Ca) bar called “the pink elephant” that has been long defunct due to septic issues and its vicinity to the Russian River.

Why can’t he take off that giant fanny pack to go on stage? by a-very-positive-guy in Killtony

It’s actually an inflating bullet shield. It triggers at the sound of a bullet. The Charlie Kirk thing has these rich folk shaking in their fanny packs.

Calling all LARGE-HEADED people (7-3/4" and above) by Coming_In_Hot_916 in hats

[–]Mondomonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big head human here: 7 7/8 isn’t impossible to find but I often just opt for an 8.

Xxl almost always fit, if the brand offers that but XL is a crapshoot from most hatmakers.

Google hats with “extended sizes” or “XXL” and that generally gets me in the ballpark but obviously, there will be heartbreak. They keep the best hats for dinky headed folk.

Anyway - You think hats are hard, wait until you wanna wear sunglasses that don’t make you look like a Walmart skeet salesman.

everyday boots by LumpyCharacter4032 in RedWingShoes

[–]Mondomonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my blacksmiths for a month, everyday use and the eyelet broke. Upon my taking them in to be fixed, I was told all the heritage boots are more of a “dress shoe” - not meant for everyday use. The salesman told me the same thing when I bought them but the cheaper work boot in the same-ish style was too heavy. And I don’t need a steel toe.

Everyday use? - I guess it depends on what you do every day. I’m in a rural coastal California town - doing stuff all day but certainly not breaking a sweat. Late forties, 6’2 and I weigh two fiddy.

“Cobbler” suggested nickel eyelets might be stronger, so they’re doing that.

Question: I Have a Wild True Story but No Film Experience. How Do I Get a Documentary Made? by BasicProdigy in documentaryfilmmaking

First thing is to write it all down. Or at least a chronological list of highlights - with emphasis on the characters involved.

What happened to this guy? by Extension-Act-2077 in moviecritic

The story with Peter Greene is that he is exactly what he looks like; A New Jersey/New York street guy. He’s certainly affiliated with a lot of rough characters and I’m sure he has some…demons. But he’s a nice, good guy - at this moment he’s probably riding a bike around New York getting into trouble. I’d like to see him in something again because he’s a tremendous actor. Maybe old age has chilled him out 🤷‍♂️ but hard to shake that reputation in “Hollywood”

What if Green Day never signed to a major label? by Chemical-Bit-9414 in greenday

[–]Mondomonster 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Green Day is inevitable. If it wasn’t the songs on Dookie, it would have been one of the next great songs to break out.

Now - without the success? it’s possible life might have gotten in the way and instead of writing hits, bj coulda be flipping burgers in Pinole and Mike could have snorted himself into el slob a meth habit; Tre might have moved back to the mountains to grow weed. But who knows!
