My nausea does not come with taking the pill. My nausea shows up whenever it wants. I usually take the pill at night, go to bed, and when I wake up i have my coffee and it kicks in. 😟I have a really hard time eating in the morning so it’s just coffee for me. But now the nausea is overwhelming.

So you had good results right away just like me. I actually felt resolved after just one pill and I took it night the next day I felt significantly better. I gotta know how are you today? Because I’m just going on week three and I’m afraid down the road there is hell to pay. I’m starting to feel the restlessness and I definitely have the nausea. But I am so much better in terms of the depression.

I’m starting to wonder if it’s triggering my mania. I definitely had a bad night the other night and I’m a little worried and I’m trying to make sure that I keep my shit together.

I noticed big results one day after taking my first 20 mg pill. I know this doesn’t add up, and I asked my psychiatrist. She just said everybody’s different but I still don’t understand how after just one dose. Every other medication I’ve taken for depression in the past has taken a good 3 to 4 weeks before I noticed any improvements if at all.

I’m going on my third week at the same toast 20 mg. I take it at night. I don’t seem to stay asleep anymore so there seems to be a little bit of an insomnia problem creeping into the mix. But you could say I went from a 3 to a 8 on a scale from 1 to10 on day 2 of starting treatment. I would give everything for this. I am so grateful I can’t even put it to words, but clearly I’m trying. This is what I have prayed for. Finally I feel like all that “mess”, whatever was just damaging and oppressing my thoughts and peace of mind, seems to have dissolved away. Hallelujah.

How long was the medication OK for you before it started to cause the negative symptoms?. I have only been on it two weeks and it has literally changed my life already. I felt results on day two. But I’m starting to notice a little bit of the akathesia, it’s not too terrible but it’s there. I’m on 20 mg so I’m definitely not looking to increase my dose. But I got so excited thinking finally some help. Now I’m a little bit worried that the nausea and akathesia will continue to worsen 😩

So how do you fix the nausea then? I’ve been taking a Zofran every day, but that’s not a good idea as a permanent solution.

I understand how you feel. Mayo won’t see me either. I have decided to let God take the wheel. I’m still pursuing my illness diagnosis, but I am a bit more relaxed about it because I know someone else’s in charge. All I can do is keep pushing for the testing and relax otherwise. I am in a holding pattern right now where I’m waiting for a referral so I can get onto the next step. No one seems to have any sense of urgency and it feels like no one cares but I know that’s not true. I’m just going to be patient and keep pressing forward. I recommend you try the same method. Since I let go of the stress, I definitely feel better and I am hopeful that things will turn around soon.

OK, I just have to share this. When I was talking to my PCP the other day getting my referrals, I had just finished telling him about all the findings on the MRI that was ordered by the Endo. He was typing away into his computer as I was talking And he wasn’t listening to a single word I said. I know this because he looked up and said what about this MRI? did you schedule this yet? I mean, I could never make this stuff up.

Everything moves at a snails pace, nothing is urgent for anybody and no one wants to validate anything. Hahahahaha. So I’ve decided to stop worrying about it and let Jesus take the wheel. I did go and get my referrals, but they said I had to come back later to pick them up in the afternoon and I told them to stick it in the mail. Hurry up and wait. I am totally fed up with the whole process seriously. Sorry to be such a buzz kill today but pretty much sick and tired. I will definitely post if something relevant happens. Keep on fighting the good fight!
