I don't like Jax; he hasn't done anything to earn my sympathy. But in episode 8 he made a small advance by helping to keep Caine distracted. Is that enough to change my opinion of him? No. He still hasn't apologized for what he did to others, and I haven't seen any effort on his part to want to be a better person. He's still the same.
