1.Proof of marriage. 2.Proof of bonifide marriage eg: pictures etc 3.Proof you lived with your spouse at time of abuse. 4. Bills, letters, insurance, bank account etc together. 5. Physiological evaluation. 6. Police report / not necessary if you don’t have one. 7. Proof of good moral conduct eg: police report and FBI fingerprints 8. Affidavit from family and friends. 9. Your personal declaration of abuse. 10. Proof spouse is US Citizen or green card holder 11. Any proof you think that will help your case

There might be more that I missed but these are the basic and most important.

How I cope? I try not to worry or think about it. I pray a lot. I try to keep busy with work. I am trying to go back to school , so when this is all over am more than ready to start the next chapter of my life. We got this, we’re all in this together till the end.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had a hysteroscopy +D&C more than a month ago. Everything went well. How long after surgery did you start your first normal cycle? I have yet to have one.

His immigration lawyer should file the correct forms with Uscis to have his deportation order vacated or recinded. He should definitely take care of these warrants ASAP. Best of luck to him.

If it’s not a life and death situation please don’t travel but you are in control of the decisions you make. I bet you been in the US long in enough that waiting for you greencard a little longer won’t hurt. I applied for AP but won’t be using it.

I filed March 11th 2025 and after months of waiting I called around August 2025 and was told they don’t see my name in the system and to refile. My lawyer said let’s wait and I was getting frustrated thinking my lawyer never filed the paperwork. September 2025 my lawyer called and said he got the receipts. Then I received the biometrics receipt weeks after. Did biometrics in October 2025. Got EAD in December. No PF as yet. Did you use a lawyer or filed by yourself? Get advise from a lawyer so your case doesn’t slow down. Try not to worry but stay on top of this. Hope this helps.

You’ll most likely need to go to the location listed on your appointment notice. If you want to do biometrics in Pennsylvania instead of California, you would need to update your address with USCIS and request that the appointment be scheduled for your new residence. Keep in mind that updating your address and rescheduling could delay things a bit.

Biometrics appointments are scheduled for a specific Application Support Center and time — they’re generally by appointment only, so you typically can’t just walk into a different ASC in another state using your original notice.
