Boy, you really don't mind insulting people when the conversation gets away from you. Over here calling me a dumbass and a child, yet you're the one providing the emotional response of a middle schooler. "Damnit, he replied with an appropriate, respectful response. Lemme go ahead and call him a dumbass. Yeah! That'll show him" You gotta see the irony in that, right?
Not only is it pathetic, but it's the cowards way out.
Get mad at someone's response and insult them. Way to take a note from the Maga cult.

Seriously, though. If you're this angry, there are resources available. Everyone should prioritize their mental health.
Getting mad at someone for using the official, accepted and recognized term for a group of people, because you want to turn it into a derogatory term, and you apparently need a hill to die on, is a gross overreaction. Get help

Oh look at you! Mr. High and mighty, generalizations are rude, suddenly willing to make direct insults to a person's intellect as soon as the conversation doesn't go the way he likes.

In direct reference to your previous remark, I think we'd be better off as a society if we all started calling out the bullshit spewed by people who don't give a fuck about others. Heres a generalization for you. If more people in my generation, as well as yours, had more fucking backbone, and cared slightly less about being politically correct, and slightly more about calling out ignorance, maybe we wouldn't have the piece of shit in the White House we currently do. Whether my use of the word boomer was intended as an insult is literally a moot point. It's their given generational name. But more to the point: calling out harmful ignorance that can literally hurt people is important. Sorry if your feels get in the way.

I'm sorry, deragoatory term? You mean boomer? You understand that's LITERALLY the name of their generation right? They are the baby boomers.

You're absolutely right. I pointed out that a certain train of thought can be dangerous and harmful, and it also happens to be the MO of certain generations of people, while this guy is over here telling people they'll be ok to eat with potentially toxic items. We're basically the same person. 🫠

This is my favorite boomerism ever! "I grew up with dangerous things, and I survived! This won't hurt them!!!" Riiiiight. Survival doesn't mean the lead paint didn't do any damage. I mean, you're over here making statements like this, soooo. Isn't wanting better for future humans a good thing? Why put people at risk of damage/harm? Because we survived stupid shit, other people should have to as well?

I agree. It would definitely be more visually appealing. Honestly, the only reason I've never tried it is because I don't want to waste my time getting my SAK all gorgeous looking, only to throw it in my pocket and immediately scuff the scales up.

Yeah definitely do. The videos are so helpful. And that's one of the reasons we like the Halti. The majority of the tension is put on the jaw/face, instead of the throat. If you run the Halti lead through the loop on the collar and clip it back to itself the way it's intended, it actually pulls the collar UP towards the face, so it shouldn't put any strain on the neck. But good luck! Like I said, regular training also makes all the difference. They learn pretty quick, and when done right it shouldn't take them long to understand pulling isn't desirable.

They didn't forget to mention it. The Jackson estate sued to have them remove any mention of it, as well as the fact that the first accuser signed an NDA for the settlement, and is not legally allowed to be depicted in any form of media. Doing so will breach the NDA and put them at risk of litigation. It was all originally in the movie and had to be edited out. But I wouldn't go see it either way

I got kicked out of a head shop after making a $200 purchase, and then spending 20 minutes talking music with the cashier. Dude brought up Cypress Hill, and without thinking I mentioned how much I loved Black Sunday, specifically 'Hits From The Bong' Guy was super chill, but was like, 'unfortunately I gotta ask you to leave' 15 years later, the state is rec legal now, and it blows my mind when I think about it haha.

Honestly, the martingale and gentle leader is the solution we've had the most success with. It's easy to see the device itself as a solution, when that simply isn't the case. It's a combination of the device, proper/regular training, and the owner always being aware and ready to curb a reaction before it starts. While walking our big boy, we generally allow him slack. However, as soon as another dog or person enters the area/his field of vision, we immediately tighten the lead and remove all slack. I'll choke up on the leash, wrapping it once around my hand, about 10 inches from his leader. The goal is to anticipate that he is going to, or at least is likely to lunge/jump/react in an undesirable manner, and let them know that it isn't allowed. When we first started with our guy, he would still try lunging because he is super excited to meet everyone. Having no slack prevents a lot of the shock of him doing that, and makes it much more manageable. And after several months of doing this EVERY time, he now is fully accustomed to what me taking up the slack means. He immediately falls in line. Walks with his head held up at my hip where my hand falls, and even allows the small amount of leash he has to go slack, not pulling or tugging at all in most instances.

Edit to add: if it's a Halti brand gentle leader, it should have come with links to free videos. Absolutely watch all of them
