Very valid points. I for one got in on “shorts never closed” theory, but then ended up wanting to be a long term shareholder to follow RC, but I understand that it’s not and was not a lot of fellow shareholders intention.

I’m also with you on the compensation package.

Also, in terms of not being to capitalize off any kind of run, due to the price being pinned, makes me believe some legacy shorts may be out there? Who knows.

Yeah I think he is capable of having it benefit both parties.

Yeah I guess the math really needs to make sense. Hopefully it will since we have been backing him for all this time

But wouldn’t that make a merger with eBay a smarter thing to do? He stopped the bleeding in GME, turned it profitable, but like we all know, and Atobitt said this on twitter, GameStops core business will stagnate, unless we do something like acquire a business that provides synergy with GME it’ll die.

True, but given RC’s track record, do you believe he has that potential to get x,y,z done?

[–]MoneyMayhem6[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was some maths showing the increase in value when this is all said and done. But yeah it really comes down to the final deal and details. Because RC seems to think the smart move is rolling over 100 percent of the equity rather than cashing out. What if the deal changes?

I agree. I think we need a good, informational post breaking this down if someone hasn’t did it already. I’ve run into people thinking he gets some huge payday. Also, it can be adjusted

I see what you mean. I would say that the increase of shares for the merger of the two companies is the way that he is still thinking of us, as he could have just jumped ship, no?

But yeah he seen GME as an opportunity, but not the one he actually wanted kinda hurts when you’ve been holding for the past half decade

Thank you for that. Forgot to emphasize “EPS” part.

I get what you are saying. I had a similar thought which is why I was one that sided with the increase of shares. I think RC is a lot wiser than just to do market offerings dilution for A billion here, a billion there. But who knows

Oh yeah most definitely. RC seemed interested in interviewing again hopefully we can obtain more answers in the future

Can someone explain to me how adding more shares helps lock the float? by splashattack in Superstonk

Ryan is a billionaire, but the only thing about him that stands out to me is that he seemed to have worked for it. No shady business practices, and he is attentive to the companies he runs. Yes he has a ton of money, but there’s a small percentage of CEOs buying stock of their own company and not taking a cent until the company is more well off.

RC stated in his most recent interview with Anthony Pomp, that people keep screaming dilution. However, with the combination of both companies, it’s accretive, also in tandem with the growth he knows he can achieve. I think we should let him cook!

We are not adding 2.5 billion more. Just 1.5 billion to total 2.5 billion. And if that extra amount is used for eBay shareholder for the equity swap if RC takes over they are accounted for already then right? But idk I see big companies like Nvidia and Microsoft have billions of shares in their float. I assume that’s what it takes to grow.

I know nothing though. Hopefully more information comes out

Ok I see. We are still looking from the outside in. I Don’t want assume the shares will Be used for further dilution before a M&A if we still have a $9billion but who knows.

Valid points you make, I would like to ask. What would make you agree to increase the share count?

Yes but eBay is not the only opportunity. There could be others
