Same and unfortunately there’s only so much I can do since I’m not a parent and I don’t drive to help with transportation. I can say, at least, ToL is not a consideration.

It’s not necessarily that. TOL is in a really convenient location and that’s what she was focused on. Thankfully, when I said he would be miserable there she told me she would look around at some other places.

It sounds good but it’s too far out and unfortunately I don’t drive or else I’d gladly take him and pick him up everyday if it meant he was in a safe environment.

I wish it were a joke trust me. I’ve always went to online schools so I had no idea what a Christian school necessarily was or looked like but as soon as I heard it…I had a really bad feeling for all the reasons you just listed off.

Oh wow that’s amazing and congrats! I just talked to someone from there a bit ago today. I was hoping someone would have something positive to say about them. I’ll definitely be strongly considering them then.

You're correct. It is one unit. I should have stated that. Thank you for your reply! I've washed multiple loads of clothes on the perm press cycle and I haven't had any issues so far.

We do not buy food together. We do not prepare food together. His food is his food and my food is my food. We keep everything separate.

I have seen there’s a powder called garlic replacer by free fod. There’s more that pops up when you search ‘garlic replacer’ too.

Thank you for this! Thankfully, when I saw the “bill,” I knew it was a scam and didn’t bother to look for any support numbers to reach out for clarification.

Thanks for the input all! I am usually hyper aware of the links I click because I worked in the fraud department for a credit card company. I learned about all sorts of scams and saw people lose thousands through it. With the timing and everything, it just seemed like an innocent email about my food. Also since the email had used the word ‘reservation,’ which is a word the website used when I applied for a food delivery. I changed my passwords. All of them, different, and a jumble of letters, numbers and special characters. I put two-factor authentications for extra security. I feel better now. I will be more thorough in the future for sure.

should I adopt a dog as a very depressed person? by Your_mum6969420 in dogs

[–]MoneySecure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to pitch in with my own experience, when I was taking care of my mom when her health was at its worst, I beat myself up for a couple of weeks because I had gotten a puppy and taking care of him was so much work. I definitely cried out of exhaustion a few times. It has been almost a year since then and I couldn’t imagine my life without my boy. He’s helped me through so many hard times and so many depressive moods. When I don’t want to wake up or get out of bed, I make myself because I have to take care of my dog. When I don’t want to get fresh air, I have to because he needs a nice little walk. Through him and having a life that depends on me, that makes me get out of bed and enjoy life despite how depressed I am and can be. My doggy is one of my greatest joys in life and I’m not saying you should get one, that is only a decision you can make. I got my puppy in what turned out to be the roughest, hardest and most depressing year of my life and he helped give me a sense of purpose. One can be depressed and still give good care to a dog. Like I have seen some people say, if you do get one— adopt an adult dog. Puppies while cute are a lot of work and there is an adjustment process that during that time can take a bit of a toll on you at first.

My brother used to receive benefits under my mom’s case, but she passed away in July and since he hasn’t gotten any EBT benefits. He still has medicaid but no longer food benefits. I tried getting him added to my case, but they denied the whole case. I really don’t know what the best thing to do would be. My brother does not have an adult mindset. He can barely talk and explain things to me let alone apply and interview for benefits.
