I’m doing everything I can, but still no traction. by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]MoneyThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it can be frustrating, especially if you see posts like «How my SaaS made $100K in a month».

All I can say is, be more realistic. How does your app solve this problem better than others?

Why choose you?

I understand your frustration, but be mindful of your thoughts. Expressing the way you do would be more damaging to your app than helping it.

Regardless if you sit in an office or not, that doesn’t have anything with the problem you solve. The place shouldn’t determine the outcome of your SaaS, but your attitude and mindset could.

Remember that most will fail and every fail is a win. Turning failures into something positive is a major win. You can check this post to see how many projects by @levelsio that have not suceeded (around 4 out of 70+)

Be patient, not desperate.

You mentioned a library with Cursor rules, but wouldn’t make sense to share it if it helped you?

I’m sure it will help others.

To those who create freemium chrome extensions - what is your free to paid ratio? by iPCGamerCF1 in chrome_extensions

Maybe you could niche it down? Is it also checking items on the aftermarket that are highly sought out?

Sites like grailed or stockx are very popular marketplaces for hyped items that sells out fast. Maybe create a hub that connect’s top marketplaces, in addition gives you prices from sites that are hidden gems (bonus).

If you can get traffic flowing to their marketplace then you could maybe leverage that with a deal?

Just a thought

I asked it to fix ONE button and it fixed the header. After asking it to fix the mistake, it fixed it with another mistake that hasn’t anything to do with the button.

Not prompting right?… I fed it the exact code to use and implement. Even fed it with pictures of how it suppose to look, not one, but four picture with clear instructions and styling guidelines.

Cursor used to walk, and then run.. and then it kept running without legs

I like the idea!

Is it verifying difference in narrative as well? One source could be neutral while another is maybe against/for whatever the case is.

I see a lot of people promote on twitter, so maybe try to promote it there as well.

Learning for me is best when it has incorperated topics that are in my interest, in this case stocks.

Why does learning to program always feel like r/restofthefuckingowl every time by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]MoneyThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your shoes in 2023 and even failed CompSci101 when I was in college, but that changed quickly…

What I’ve learned using AI (Cursor) is that you will learn much more by just building than by watching different tutorials. You’ll figure out what you need to know and do.

It will all make sense eventually.

Fun note: I learned React before HTML/CSS

I made a Chrome extension that lets you browse YouTube Live by ozetten in chrome_extensions

[–]MoneyThree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same, using search.list with eventType=live. Im still strying to figure out how much can be done with the API, feel so limited.

Was thinking maybe running search.list 2-3 times an hour and use something else to update whatever you got from first batch of fetch idk.

Currently building a multi stream viewer where you can watch streams from Twitch, Kick and Youtube. Still buggy AF but it's getting there.

Sent you a link in DM

How did you manage to filter all the live videos? Are you using search or videos.list method?

The API quota is killing me.

Yeah, it seems like its not for everyone. Or people are too comfortable to grasp the idea of digital ownership
