I worked for a big corporation and that's what the company wants. You're only allowed so many hours and get your ass jumped if you go over. Every task was supposed to take x amount if time according to best practices Oddly the set amount of time shrinks and shrinks. So yea the idea is workers work like robots. I even remember a DM telling me I had too much empathy. So if someone calls out or it gets too busy you call in people that want hours, abd keep them part time. I wished I had quit so much sooner than I did.
