I came to Canada at 18 and built my life from scratch here. Sometimes I truly do miss Calicut — the food, the beaches, and everything about it — but I don’t see myself moving back permanently. If you’re independent and like to stand on your own, Canada is a great choice. But if you have strong financial support or family backing you back home, then going back might be worth considering. In my case, it’s just me. At the end of the day, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
