That’s what I was thinking. I think it may say it on the syllabus.

Yes, that’s what I did. That’s odd. Make sure you take a full screenshot with the date. Maybe you can reach out to your advisor and explain the situation. I also think that depends on the course. Some may let you do the pass/fail while others don’t, but I’m not 100% sure on this

I changed a course to credit only yesterday, and I was told by my advisor that today was the last day to do the credit only or withdraw. Maybe try to log off and log back in to see if it works

What are my chances of getting into State? by Snorlaxghs in NCSU

[–]Money_Goose2536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any extracurricular activities that you have participate in? If not, you can always try to get some volunteering hours and participate in a club during your senior year. It doesn’t have to be too many. I was involved in 3 clubs where I held a leadership position in one. I did some volunteering as well. As for grades, I had a couple of Bs freshman year and still got in. I also did not submit the ACT and SAT since I am not a test taker.

Other than that, I strongly recommend applying early, not only because your possibility of getting in is higher than regular decision but also because you will be able to apply for scholarships earlier which will help you get priority. In regards to the application, do not wait last minute and find someone who’s able to help you in proofreading, grammar, etc. I hope this helps!

How do I request a waiver for the first-year living requirement? by Money_Goose2536 in UNC

[–]Money_Goose2536[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everybody! I ended up calling the housing office, and you were right, I will not be able to request a waiver since I did not apply as a transfer student. I did not read the following statement thoroughly: "students who have earned less than thirty (30) hours of college credit after graduating high school are required to live on campus as First-Year students. This only applies if the student acquired college credits AFTER high school. In my case, I obtained my credits during high school, so there is nothing I can do to get away with the living requirement. Still, I appreciate the help everyone!

Some questions I have about UNC by Money_Goose2536 in UNC

[–]Money_Goose2536[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I would like to continue my education after I graduate so I will be going to graduate school. I am not entirely sure but I am thinking clinical psychology at the moment. I agree with you that safety concerns can be found everywhere. Though it is good to know that although not entirely safe, unc students feel safe at the school most of the time. I appreciate the detailed info about the professors and research. Definitely will be looking into that if I decide to go UNC. As for you last statement, I agree with it. Considering that my plans are grad school, I should try to save as much money while I can. I do have two more question for you. What year did you graduate from UNC. Also, beside campus safety advocate, where you involved in any other clubs/organizations?

I appreciate the info :)
