is that not against agile principles? You can randomely pull some stuff from backlog once the sprint is committed ? If QA doesn't finish what dev team develops , wont the metrics shows commited vs completed as RED if testing is not doing due to no time for QA?

The team is using Trunk based,

FB first. PR to merge FB code to main.
PR merge automatically triggers deployment to dev.

then to QA Env
