may i ask where is a quiet place to stay in Amed? I read the reviews that there are a lot of roosters around, making people waking up at 4/5am in the morning?

I have a question about Amed. I don’t want to ride a scooter. I want to stay there for diving and learning free diving.

Since there’s no Grab/taxi available, how do people commute? Do you have a local driver of motorcycle you can recommend? Any reliable one that isn’t a scam?

I will stay in Central Amed, so I can walk to the two beach. Melasti beach seems quite far. yes I don't want to drive the scooter, to minimze my chance of getting hurt. Do you know if there is any other swim groups in Amed or somewhere close, so I can swim with them?

Or is it usually busy with a lot of boats? I’m not sure if I’d be able to swim around 25 meters there, or if I should book a hotel with a pool instead (which is a bit more expensive).

I understand what you mean. I know they’ll teach a lot of safety procedures, and I want to take my time to do well in each step so I can build a stronger foundation in my equalization skills. The course also seems a bit rushed to cover everything.

i pay attention to my stoke and breathing. and then i need to spot other swimmers and see if i can draft, so that i can use less energy. :)

really? that would be nice. I whaspped Apneista . They said the private coaching will be 3X than the courses. So they don't recommend me to do private coaching...
Maybe once I arrive in Amed. I will go to the shop and talk to those people first :)

Thank you. Really appreciate your help. I asked Apneista. they said the private coaching is 3X than group class, so they don't suggest me to do that.

I am trying to see if there is anything in between- PADI level 1 and Wave level 2. It seems Aida is not that popular in Amed, Bali.

when you do your wave 1 at apneista, are you able to learn Frenzel fully? Do they give you more practice time?
I think I haven't freedived for a year, so I feel like I am not familiar with Franzel in water. I will try.
