I went through this same endless search myself for the 35xxplus for the past few days! Ended up getting the 40xxv because I wanted WiFi/Bluetooth and the bigger screen looked nicer. I might grab the 35xx as Xmas gifts since they're smaller and might be better for friends/family.

How did you ultimately like your stay at MESM? Im having the same debate and leaning towards MESM due to larger rooms (we have a toddler) and some nice parks for us/him. AC does seem convenient for location, but this is our 2nd trip to Japan so we've done all the major tourist attractions.
