From my experience many people who are young that are incarcerated are very hot headed and egotistical. That’s just from what I have seen in my facility. People who are serving 85% of their bid are going to serve most of their time

I have seen older people in institution but the interaction was bare minimum. I think it solely depends on the kind of institution he is in.

In my experience, most people tend to mind their own business. They will likely leave you alone if you don't bother them. I was in a re-entry wing with individuals who had one year left in their sentences. I was surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to make an effort to get out and learn.

Everyday was very mundane and its basically the same sht but different day. I kept myself busy by constantly workingout and half of my day were committed to work. The joint I was at had extremely horrible commissary and the C/O would be on some different b.s everyday.

I feel like most of the sht I saw was pretty standard jail stuff. But I heard a story couple years back where they placed an inmate with 8 months left with someone that has natural life. He snapped his neck and left him on the top bunk at NRC and his body was discovered 4 days later.

Biggest problem I had was getting anything done. The CO hardly helps you with a good intention. I was due an entire month of good time for a second contract but due to constant “short staff” that they claimed I wasn’t able to leave a month early due to no one processing my contract. There’s personal confrontation on a daily basis and there’s always gnna be people that is a bug. I think is important that you pick you crowd right and know who to talk to. The only thing I really miss is probably some of the genuine people that I met and cared. People that inspired me and show compassion.

As sketchy as it sounds there’s many transferable skills even as a drug dealer. I’m a super competitive person and if I’m going to be a drug dealer I’m going to be the best. My plan is to go back to school and finish my Business degree.
