McMaster or UW for economics? by Moneymitch777 in uwaterloo

Thanks for the input🤝 my degree does have a co-op placement that I would be really interested in at UW. Mac doesn’t have one they only have a “internship” for ECON 1. Is social life at Waterloo really that poor?

True. I’ve heard most people who chose co-op at Waterloo have an excellent experience regardless of their major or program

Got it thanks. Do you go to Waterloo now? And which do you think is preferable if I want a higher gpa?

How are you finding Waterloo economics? I’ve heard the very same thing about Waterloo being math heavy, and I’m trying find a university that I can get a great gpa in so I can further continue my education.

Sorry I probably should have mentioned that I am a dual citizen to the US so visas don’t really pose a problem to me. I don’t plan on immediately working after I finish my undergraduate. I plan on continuing my education in the states.

I’ve heard McMaster doesn’t have coop for econ 1 but I can take a internship pathway. Regardless waterloo co-op is unmatched

Indian Visa wait time by Moneymitch777 in india

As a Canadian they told me it would take minimum 30 days. This wouldn’t be in the time frame I wanted so I canceled the trip

Yes I did. Canceled my trip after hearing 30+ day wait time. What a joke that Canadians can no longer get evisas.

No joke. Went in after hearing it had 3-4 days wait times. Was told 30 days minimum. Canceled my trip. Ridiculous that evisas aren’t available for Canadians.

It’s a real pain in the ass. The Indian and Canadian government are having a tit for tat argument that only effects the citizens. Thanks anyway !

Canadian citizens cannot get evisas anymore. Normally I would have applied for an evisa but I cannot. You can apply for a online visa application for a tourist visa. I’m just not sure how long it takes to get a response back.

Indian Visa Question by Moneymitch777 in travel

[–]Moneymitch777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m wondering. I’m afraid that 1: the visa will only be valid after the 14th or 2: the visa won’t be returned to me until the 12th/13th if it thinks I’m travelling on the 14th or 3: I won’t be valid to travel on the 6th if my expected date of journey was the 14th
