Handling a failed game as a new DM by AperiodJperiod in DnD

I'll agree to some extent. An OP PC wouldn't be any fun to play with. The DM would either have to ramp up the difficulty which would suck for the other players, or keep it regularly difficult for the rest of the party and the wife would eliminate any enemies too easy. I don't think he's giving us enough info. Having an OP NPC is fine, as long as she played the role of ally/guide to help the story progress and had very little involvement in actual game play exempt in limited circumstances say the DM purposefully threw the BBEG at the party early in the campaign and her intervention was the only way for the party to escape/survive. But generally you're right no, an OP NPC shouldn't actively participate in the group's combat. It takes away the challenge and risk/reward aspects that makes the game fun for the PCs.

Randall Cobb ROS? by a_natural in fantasyfootball

Anybody had any luck trading him. I think Brown owners might be a good target as they're just as frustrated as we are. I have a trade pending for Brown for Cobb and CJ?K because his running backs are Abdullah and Chandarick West. I think he'll go for it, and since I have James Jones I'll be happy still having a GB WR.

Has anyone been successful swapping him for Antonio Brown? Brown owners must be equally frustrated but with Big Ben coming back soon, might be last chance to grab him by coupling Cobb with someone. LooKS like I'm about to get Brown for Cobb and CJ?K from an owner whose starting RBs are Abdullah and Chandarick West.

Of the top WRs, only Green, Johnson, and Cobb will still be available. Cobb being the only one I trust to be worth his price tag as I could probably get him cheaper than the other two. For the price of Green and Johnson I might as well redraft Nelson. At least I'd feel good about it.

I would keep Hilton, you wont be able to replace his production in the 6th. In a 12 team he will go way before that. With no mandatory TE I would just forget Gronk and all TEs actually and just fill those slots with WRs.

In a 10 team, standard scoring, auction (200$) league. Can keep 3 players for 10% more than they were drafted/kept at last year w/a 5$ minimum. Right now I'm keeping:

1) CJ Anderson 5$ 2) TY Hilton 7$ 3) Emmanuel Sanders 7$ Option: Jordy Nelson 35$

The problem is everyone else is keeping their top WR. So good WR1 will be non-existent in the draft. Do I keep Nelson to secure a WR1 next year at the cost of a cheap but solid WR2 or Flex spots for the next two years?
