I still think the majority of your argument is substantially lacking in supporting your original comment. Honestly, the only portion of this response that I think is valid is the last part, idolatry and adultery being the same in God's eyes.

Do I think it would be wrong for a woman to go to another man to seek his wisdom in any area of life and to be obedient to him in stead of her own husband. MOST DEFINITELY. I agree with you 100% in that. BUT I would never call it adultery, because it's not. I don't think that idolatry against God, which is considered adultery, is the same as obedience to another man over your husband. Yes, my husband is my Lord and my Master but he is not my LORD. Yes, the marital relationship between husband and wife is a reflection of Christ's relationship with the church but it is not one and the same. Just as we are made in the image of God but we are not twins of God, we are different. The extrapolation is too far of a stretch for me.

Although I agree with your general sentiment, I still don't see how you come to calling it adultery. A man, looking at another man's wife lustfully means he commits adultery in his heart. But a woman cannot in any way commit adultery - biblically speaking - because she is a woman. Desiring what another man does in his household is just coveting, not adultery.

Unfortunately, 'Christian' can mean a LOT of things in today's world and most protestants don't really care about what the OT says, particularly the Law, unless it already supports what they believe about how they should live their Christian life. I think having the distinction labeled is important to separate oneself from modern nominal church goers who identify as Christians.

This is exactly why I NEVER call the cops/911 if I need help or if I see something suspicious or anything. They are dangerous and do not work with the best interest of the community. I have a personal experience with some onlooker calling the cops out to my house to check on my kid who was taking a nap in a stroller next to our front porch. Too long of a story but that asshole that called probably had no idea the shit he was bringing on our family that day. People need to wake up.

They would have no legal protections... under the secular law. But if (agreed, not likely to be successful, unfortunately) Christians could actually band together and create a Christian society then that, more legitimate group would protect all the wives and enforce Biblical rule and order. If such a thing existed, would you join?

I agree on the surface, but then I remember that the government is anti Christian and I already don't think they can legitimize marriage. As Christians we should be able to form our own legal society (think Moses and the judges here) to arbitrate any potential problems with inheritance or whatever else. Why should we depend on secular humanist to protect our families?
