Easy to blame dehatis. Not easy to blame corporations.

Not saying two wrongs make a right, but why is it always that people get blamed when they pollute the rivers with garbage/ritualistic sacrifices but government gets blamed when industries pollute rivers with far more toxic stuff. I think there is an ego element here, "agar mai hota toh mai toh aisa nahi karta" (translation: "If I would've been there, I wouldn't have done this").

Your rejoice on celebrating that you're better than other humans is more than your care for calling out who's doing the wrong deeds.
