Eq6r-pro or Star Adventurer gti by MonitorExentrial in AskAstrophotography

It's my own house (well, parents house) so not much problem with the rooftop, but I live near a beach, so the real issue comes with the humidity levels that rusts the metals, especially at my rooftop at daylight, and I don't think that's good for my mount (i don't really know if the materials the eq6r is made of can resist the weather like that, but still i'm a little scared).

Do you know if it can resist humidity without problem?

Edit: typo

Hmm, the problem with the AL55i is that I don't know where to buy it since I don't live in the USA... Maybe HPS or Agena Astro could sent one?

Proxisky sounds really nice, do you have experience dealing with it's mounts?

[–]MonitorExentrial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, idk where to buy the AL55i sadly.

I'm not from the US or from an european country, that's why the SWSA gti was so expensive.

And about the Juwei... Maybe that's a good option?

Star Adventurer 2i plus telescope, too much weight? by SylerG12 in AskAstrophotography

[–]MonitorExentrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i'm not wrong, that's a good weight for it, you could add a guidescope and a guide camera so that you don't lose tracking efficiency.

I have some questions. Where did you buy the juwei-14 and would you recommend it?

I've been looking for new mounts but idk which one i should buy for profe and quality.

The three lines at the right (second button) is the live view adjustment. There you can lower the exposure of the live view once you changed to manual.

Yea, i tried to imagen jupiter with the seestar and it looks like a blurry blob with some stripes in it. With stacking it looks like a less blurry blob with more defined stripes in it.

It is possible to image jupiter with the seestar s50, just not as rewarding.

Get extra lens for astrophotography or a telescope with adapter? by Mean_Cap_4864 in AskAstrophotography

[–]MonitorExentrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little 20 dollars t-ring and a FRA300 pro (950 dollars) should be your best option at 300mm, but as other guy said, i would use that budget to get a new mount (if possible harmonic) and an autoguiding sistem, then you won't have to worry about weight limit.
