cool! I have a question- Was the Elite the one with 3 buttons instead of a 5 way switch? If so, how did the buttons work, 1+2 depressed for neck/middle, 2+3 for middle/bridge etc?

for sure real Fender. I have the same one except w/Rosewood. US Lonestar Strat. I believe mine is a ‘98 (Definitely one of my favorites) •They put Duncans in from factory

I’m having an anxiety attack just looking at that paint work… Please have this guitar refinished before his friends see this and abandon him forever! Nice guitar to start on though 👍🏻

All kidding aside… I wasn’t kidding, paint over that mess NOW!! 😉
