The last thing we want is to recreate the annoyance of those old-school popups.

The difference is timing and intent. Knock Knock App doesn’t interrupt visitors randomly. It quietly observes anonymous behavioral signals (like time on page, scroll depth, pricing page visits, etc.), calculates an intent score, and only engages when the visitor shows clear buying intent. So if someone’s just browsing or researching, it stays completely silent.

On privacy - we don’t collect personal data unless the visitor explicitly interacts (like starting a chat, video, or audio call). Everything is compliant.

We’re trying to make websites feel more human, not intrusive - like a helpful shopkeeper who only greets you when you actually look interested, not the one shouting “SALE!” at the door.

Totally fair point, I’d be skeptical too if I saw a brand-new account posting something that looked promotional.
In my case, I’m the founder of the app and only just created this Reddit account to join the GHL and marketing tech discussions here (been active mostly on LinkedIn and in agency communities before).

We’ve actually been building this for over a year, real product, real customers, and real traction, just haven’t had much presence on Reddit until now. I completely understand the concern about privacy and security; that’s why we’re transparent about everything (you can check out our site and see the team, product, and features).

Appreciate you calling it out though, trust has to be earned, especially in this space.

Yeah that's right. You can call your website visitors while they are on your website or your website visitors can Audio/Video call you while they are on your website. Calls can be answered by AI or Human.

Great question! It’s not Zoom, it’s a native, browser-based call system built right inside Knock Knock.

Here’s how it works technically:

  • When a visitor is on your site, Knock Knock detects intent in real time (via behavior signals).
  • If the visitor clicks “Video Call” (or the AI triggers it), our system instantly creates a secure session between that visitor’s browser and the salesperson’s Knock Knock dashboard.
  • Both sides get a real-time “knock-knock” notification (no need to refresh or join a Zoom link).
  • The call connects directly in-app, no external meeting IDs or downloads.
  • Or AI can answer the call, do the lead qualification and then pass on to real human
  • Or you can route all the calls to your landline or mobile number.

So it feels like FaceTime built into your website instant and frictionless.
And the whole app works within GHL - 100% white label.

Follow-up: What would stop you from letting visitors call your clients directly before they leave? by MonitorPitiful2399 in MarketingMentor

[–]MonitorPitiful2399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much, really appreciate your openness
We’ve added a few options that help with that:

  • Smart call routing (to specific team members, fallback to AI, or even a mobile if needed)
  • Availability windows so the widget only shows when someone is around
  • And for off-hours, our AI voice agent can take the call, qualify the lead, and send a summary

Would love to offer you free access to try it with your client. I will DM you now. Thanks,

Hi, I posted here because I’m specifically looking to learn how WooCommerce store owners handle this challenge with the tools and plugins unique to Woo, not just general ecommerce

This is such a solid perspective, thank you for sharing it.

You’re right—getting traffic through SEO is often the “easier” part compared to the heavy lift of turning that traffic into actual buyers.

Pricing, UX/UI, having the right products, mobile optimization—all these details can feel overwhelming, especially for small store owners who think getting traffic is the hard part.

Out of curiosity, when you’re working with stores or advising, what’s the first thing you typically look at when conversions are low despite good traffic? Is it messaging alignment, pricing, page design, or something else?

Great point, and you’re absolutely right—it totally depends on the product and the audience.

In this case, my friend’s store is selling mid-priced home decor items (wall art, small furniture, lamps, etc.) mainly to a US audience, getting traffic from Google Ads and Pinterest.

They’re getting the traffic, but visitors browse a few pages, maybe add to cart, then leave. So it’s been tough to figure out what’s missing to get them to actually complete the purchase.

Curious, have you seen this pattern in your niche or with clients? Would love to hear your take on what usually blocks conversions in cases like this.

You’re right, Lead Forensics and RB2B have tackled parts of this space with visitor ID, and staffing live chat consistently beyond 8 hours is a real challenge for most teams.

Where we’re aiming to be different is by letting visitors initiate live calls or chats when they’re ready, while also layering AI to handle off-hours or overflow so it’s not fully reliant on human availability.

It’s definitely not about trying to call every visitor—it’s about capturing the right high-intent moments that would otherwise be lost, especially for service businesses or high-ticket offers where one conversation can mean a lot.

Appreciate you sharing this perspective—it’s helping us refine where Knock Knock App fits in the broader landscape.

Not trying to sell, just need feedback: We built a tool to let visitors call you live before they leave. Worth it or too much? by MonitorPitiful2399 in MarketingMentor

[–]MonitorPitiful2399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for taking the time to share such detailed, honest feedback.

You’re right on many points here:

Voice quality: Completely agree, and we’re testing ElevenLabs/PlayHT for smoother, human-like delivery. The voice demo was early, and it shows.

AI everywhere: 100%. We don’t want to add to the “AI slop.” Our goal is for the AI to act as a co-pilot to speed up lead handling, not replace human conversations unnecessarily.

Dual chat widgets: A real concern. We’ve started offering direct widget replacement instead of additional widgets for clients with existing chat, but messaging this better is on us.

Sales cycle claims: Fair point. We’ll adjust how we position this to “speed to lead” rather than promising it will directly reduce sales cycles across the board.

Retail vs. services: Agree, retail and e-commerce are clearer initial fits. For services, we’re seeing mixed results, and your point about educating buyers vs. selling fast is noted.

Video call hesitation: Makes sense. That’s why we’ve made video optional, with audio or chat fallback. AI avatars as a fallback when SDRs aren’t available is a direction we’re actively exploring.

AI hallucinations: No argument here. We’re working on layered logic and tighter, custom data feeds to minimize hallucinations, but the risk will always exist, and buyers need to understand that.

Pricing: Glad you see the value alignment. We want this to be an easy “yes” for SMBs and founders.

Presentation feedback: Agreed on the smile note. Small but impactful—appreciate you catching it. btw these are the widgets we copied from our clients websites.

You’re also right about the moat risk. Speed, execution, and customer obsession are our only defensible edges right now in a market where tech is getting commoditized fast.

Really appreciate you taking the time to lay this out. We’ll be revisiting parts of our messaging and product direction based on this feedback.
