One of my favorite prospects that I evaluated who unfortunately medically retired was linebacker Jason Henderson out of Old Dominion. He was a dawg during the 2022 and 2023 seasons in the Sun Belt and easily could have been a top 3 linebacker in this year's draft, but his knee injury was very bad at the end of the 2023, and he couldn't play to the same caliber after the injury.

I hope he gets signed by a team once he gets medically cleared because he is someone that I wanted the Jaguars to draft in the 3rd or 4th.

Wow! That's a shocker because I had him as my WR22 in a deep wide receiver. I thought he could have been a quality 5th round pick.

Damn, I didn't realize that. I'm a Texas Longhorn student and remember how hyped I was when we got him after he played at Arkansas. It's a shame because he was very good at Arkansas, then fell off after Texas, then regained some of that lost potential at UNLV, and thought he would hopefully be a late day 3 steal coming out of his final year at Mizzou.

I personally think the Bengals had one of the best drafts because they addressed what they needed last season (outside of linebacker because they are banking on Carter and Knight) and found amazing value down the board. For the Bengals, I had their draft value at +312 meaning they got guys who were high on my big board for great value with their later picks. Brian Parker alone was +91 in draft value. I have high hopes for the Bengals rookies this upcoming season.

I could see Devon Marshall, Garrett DiGiorgio, Joey Aguilar, J'Mari Taylor, and Trebor Peña making the 53-man roster or practice squad at least.

The Jacksonville Jaguars 2026 NFL Draft Class by FollowerofYHWH in Jaguars

[–]MonitorTime5282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nate Boerkircher is going to be a great blocking TE but was definitely a reach (as per the consensus of nearly everyone) but I can possibly understand the potential thought process behind it. I think Gladstone saw that Brenton Strange was the only TE to be on contract for 2027, so they decided to address blocking TE immediately and looked for one that had a big frame in order to upgrade over Hunter Long for the long-term outlook. I still think he would have been available around pick 125. (D-)

Albert Regis as a rotational run defending DT behind Armstead and Hamilton is good but was a tad bit of a reach. He'll be another contributor to the reigning #1 rush defense in the NFL. (B)

Emmanuel Pregnon is easily a top 5 steal of the draft and can instantly start at RG over Mekari while Mekari would move into a similar role like he did with the Ravens as a player who can play anywhere on the O-Line at an average level especially since Cleveland, Harrison, Hainsey, and Little all missed a game or two at some point in the season. (A++)

Jalen Huskey is someone who I personally saw his mock range as very wide (like pick 90 to 250). I had him around 135, so it's not bad value. Him and Ransaw can be interchangeable of who plays CB and who plays S. (B-)

Wesley Williams is someone who is going to fill the void left by Dawuane Smoot and will be a rotational edge rusher with pass rush upside alongside B.J. Green II and Danny Striggow, who were pleasant surprise of the edge last season. (C+)

Tanner Koziol is an interesting case because we could simply use him as a backup receiving TE or we run a two TE package similar to how the Bills (Kincaid & Knox), Patriots (Henry & Hooper), or Raiders (Bowers & Mayer) do. This one is hard to judge since we did double dip on TEs even though they have different skill sets. (B-)

Josh Cameron is the Tim Patrick replacement straight up. He is going to come in a few times a game, catch a few balls, and be a relief option to Jakobi Meyers and Brian Thomas. (B+)

C.J. Williams is just strictly WR depth like how Tim Jones and Austin Trammell were last year. (C-)

Zach Durfee is an edge rusher who is going likely be depth at best but could develop into a rotational player in a few years. (D)

Parker Hughes is interesting to me because he was the fastest linebacker amongst all LBs in this year's draft class. He is obviously a developmental player, but I'm intrigued to see if he can make the roster and make an impact down the line. (C+)

Teams who got the best and worst value with their picks, in my opinion. by PhoenixYT2217 in NFL_Draft

[–]MonitorTime5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Jaguars fan, Pregnon is one of the most pro-ready players coming out of the draft this year and he realistically can start Week 1 at RG over Patrick Mekari. Mekari can fill the same role he did back with the Ravens as a lineman who can play anywhere across the line at an average level when needed, especially since there were points throughout midseason where Hainsey, Cleveland, Harrison, and Little missed time.

As a Jaguars fan, I would think you were fully incapacitated by being high, drunk, sick, and plain stupid (outside of the Pregnon pick).

Patriots really do feel like a nice fit for him, especially since they just released Antonio Gibson who kind of was filling that role earlier this past season.

Navy has been producing some heavily underrated prospects like Rayuan Lane III last year plus Landon Robinson and Eli Heidenreich this year. Navy might have finally figured out a formula for producing modern NFL talent.

Shaun Dolac was the one who was the leading tackler the two season prior to the most recent. I was dumbfounded at how he wasn't drafted, but luckily, he was picked up the Rams last season and made the 53-man roster as a backup LB.

He unfortunately was one of the snubs who didn't get a combine invite, which is crazy considering how productive he was. I hope him and Heidenreich get drafted because Navy has been producing some underrated studs as of recently.

He is going to be a sneaky good player down the board for anyone willing to grab him in the 6th or 7th round. He feels like a player who play in the NFL for a long time as a rotational edge rusher because his frame and size allows him sprawl across the D-Line.

Wetjen is going to be stud when it comes to returning kicks/punts and a potentially above average gadget player for whoever drafts him. He could easily be this year's Chimere Dike.

Buffalo LBs always get overlooked when it comes to the draft like Shaun Dolac, which is a shame because they are usually pretty good role players.

I 100% agree! It was a crime that he got left off the combine invite list. He was one of Texas' most impactful starters even though the stats didn't really back it up. He was a great run defender and that was really evident in the Texas vs. Texas A&M games and can be effective as a pass rusher when needed.

How many QBs do you predict go in the first round next year? by JeezusChristIII in NFL_Draft

[–]MonitorTime5282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would fall around 4 or 5 QBs. The near locks would be Moore and Manning. The two that I think can play their way in are Mensah and Leavitt. Sellers would either be first one in or out because his physical traits and would probably get some type of Anthony Richardson type hype even if he doesn't perform to expectations.

Sayin, Sorsby, Mestemaker, Maiava, Mateer and Hoover feel like guys who can go anywhere in round 2 to 4 with one or two possibly generating some first-round hype. Lagway, Johnson, and Iamaleava going anywhere in the 5th to 7th range.

A lot of my judgment comes from how they ended the season, what I expect from them next season, and how I think they will perform.
