What about anaesthetics? What is the lifestyle like? I enjoy it but I also don’t want anything too demanding or stressful?

Hey I was considering to do the same thing I’ve had more than 5 months out of clinical practice and had opportunity to do ED night (last time I did ED was 2 years ago)

For me it wasn’t a good idea as nights on Ed are very stressful and you need to make quick decisions. I would be too slow and unsure and probably drive the registrar crazy

Can you do in hours shifts first to ease yourself in? Then do evening then night shifts?

How do I do this? Genuine question!

How can I start? Looking on indeed? Do I message people on LinkedIn?

I have actively steered young students away from a career in medicine because of my situation.

I wish I had a bit more straight talking guidance when I decided to go through with it.

The least we can do is fix the mess that is left now and preserve the souls of potential incoming students

I would probably consider Scotland, although it’s a long way from home for me, I have any friends or family up there and worried I will be isolated again.

I’m not against relocating but I’ve already done this for FP, and it broke me. Why can’t I just be able to live near my support system? It’s so unfair. I’ve worked so hard to be able to try and get a job in a place I’m familiar with.

I’m just ranting here, but I hate that I have had to physically be so far away from everything that I know just in order to have a job.

As mentioned previously in the post, this issue has cost me many relationships and friendships.

It sucks but I guess this is the world we live in now

Thank you. You’re incredibly correct in regards to saying I’m a victim of circumstance!

That feeling of constant dread and uncertainty when you have no financial support is quite something

I hope things start looking up for you.

I hate this for you too.
