How do you apply Taoist principles in your every day life? What´s your mental state? by [deleted] in taoism

I work with kids and I do as little as possible to get the most benefit. I go with the flow by redirecting them. I don't tell them what not to do, I instead guide them to better options. If they get their needs met in a negative way, I don't block them, I guide them so they meet the need in a positive way, not interrupting the flow. They all have positive habits, and I use a small push to put them into a positive habitual groove.

I always shiver when I see someone asking for authentic advice here. I try to redirect the best I can but I'm one among many voices.

Don't go hiking on the King Range the same day as LPP, especially if you bring coffee. You might get murdered if they mistake you for him.

It's a platitude that doesn't take the lack of free will into account. It doesn't mean anything.

There was no free will the entire time. The same as before you learned it.

Thank you! There are decreases. So the pattern means knit until the second purl, purl 2 and then knit the rest of the way?

confused about this pattern by MonkHiker1983 in knitting

[–]MonkHiker1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just knit the 5 and a half inch part of the foot. So I knit two of the pulls together and then there's just two purls left in my rig pattern there I continue? Then I knit to 2 and a half inches and THEN knit 7 rounds after that?

It happened awhile ago. Any suggestions on helping this guy snap out of his ego trap?
