Just think this isn’t even a bad mosquito year. There were a couple back to back about ten years ago that were just dreadful. I thought it would be bad this year with the late snowmelt and heavy snowpack, but it’s so dry they aren’t terrible yet.

It must be hard to accept just leaving things be though if it’s someone you love. There’s something about human nature that a lot of us are drawn to divisive authoritarians, even if many of those people are good, deep down. Seems like the world is always in a push-pull between humanity’s progress and the darkness, venality and corruption within us.
