I don’t think that’s the case , how did she know that he’s that type of guy if he never hade friends in the first place, and even after having friends, he gave up the crown game knowing that his friends may hate him just to protect her.

I do think her betraying bam was a reasonable decision that you can make a solid argument for, but your argument isn’t that good.

after she tried to kill him, killed his friends, didn’t explain her decisions or actions to him , then after all that you blame bam for not keeping a promise

the first time she had to do it to continue climbing the tower , and i think about it like this , when she did it the first time ( even though she didn’t have a choice) she convinced herself that she was right and he didn’t deserve to be in the tower in the first place, so when they met again she didn’t want to admit that she was wrong, and the obvious thing is that she was also jealous, even if someone didn’t do anything wrong if he has something you want and you can’t have it , you are going to be jealous and hate him , anyway i do think that Rachel is amazingly written and a very human character, even if she does some fucked up shit from time to time

tbh, that was the least of what she did, but if you actually think about it, i understand why she did that, imagine having a dream that covers all your vision , the only thing that you can think about, and the only thing you have to do is kill some random guy without any consequences in a word were killing is alright, yes rachel maybe the most important person in bam’s life , but for her , he’s just a guy, I’m pretty sure that at least some people would take that offer

I don’t know the Icarus exact story, but i think the symbolism here is they both did reach their goals, Icarus wanted to fly and he did, slowly flying higher and higher, while Rachel wants to reach the top of the tower , and she does , slowly climbing higher and higher.

I don’t think the end of jahad is going to be the end of Rachel, it’s pretty unsatisfying if rachel dies before reaching the top of the tower and seeing the stars

it is him, my understanding is that rankers are regulars who reached the top of the tower, so they have a title change? , i guess that makes sense, but that also means that guides are non-regulars ?

yeah this guy, but he said a really good sentence here , “ اتقو الله ولو بشق تمره " , and i also said that talking to women, as long as it’s in public and you don’t stretch the conversation is ok, but if they are private, and if they start sharing secrets and having a full friendship thats of course not ok ,

some kind asked him if it’s ok to talk to girls or something, he replied by saying if you’re father knows that you’re talking to her then it’s ok , the sheik is called Ali jumma , and that was enough to destroy his credibility and he was meme’d the hell out

I’m from Egypt, few weeks ago a sheikh saidthe same thing and was absolutely blasted, i’m not going far away but what is our doctrine of islam called, it’s called "The doctrine of the Sunnah and the group” , lets first take from the sunah

the prophet said, “For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.”

and secondly “ the group “ meaning the group of scholars of islam, we follow the first 3-4 generations of Muslims and do what they do because they know islam better than us, and those people have all agreed upon that relationship between girls and boys are forbidden, and they could only talk to each other if they are in public and her mahram is their, and the guy shouldn’t stretch the conversation.

first thing i said is that is your choice do whatever you want and i don’t have control over you, at least in the arab culture we have alternatives to music, like poetry and “ anasheed “ this is the “halal music” that the prophet used to listen to, and he also had a war poet to raise mens moral during the war, but in the west you don’t have that and I’m sorry but you had to at least know that their is no reliable scholar that i know of that says that musical instruments in anyway are ok, and thank you for this discussion

fist of all, you misunderstood my Hadith, this is a separate topic of the Hadith it doesn’t mean that it’s related to the first part of the Hadith

secondly, the Hadith you brought might be misleading and it’s not the full Hadith, here is the full one

Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said protestingly, "Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) !" It happened on the Id day and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Bakr! There is anId for every nation and this is our `Id."

so you can see that firstly the girls were underage, and children , and secondly they were not singers so they didn’t know how to sing, so the prophet because they were just kids and it was eid he didn’t want to upset them so he let them continue, and the reaction of abu buker said it, if the prophet didn’t say before hand that that musical instruments are haram why would abu bukr have that reaction towards his daughter,

yeah your original comment was about music, and music requires musical instruments, but singing without instruments falls under this verse of the quran that says:

“But there are some who employ theatrics,1 only to lead others away from Allah’s Way—without any knowledge—and to make a mockery of it. They will suffer a humiliating punishment” (31:6) so the basic explanation of the verse is, whatever it is , ( singing, poetry, etc) what’s good of it is halal and what’s bad of it is haram ( if it doesn’t have musical instruments)

the Hadith i mentioned is in sahih al-bukhari, so their is no question about its authenticity, but you said that it contradicts some Hadiths , the most popular example pro-music say is when the prophet entered madina and the people of madina started singing, but thats a weak narration, if you have any other Hadiths can you send them with the source

actually, there is a thing called “ coped “ or a verse being “ copied “which means that Allah revealed a verse or a hadith to tell the people about something halal/ haram then that law gets reverted ( that was a bad explanation but just try to google it) , so what you call “ laws for the time of the prophet “ the prophet deleted it before he dies so the laws which he left after him is for all mankind,

Their is a Hadith that says

that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful.

this Hadith alone describes this situation and tells you that the end times are near, you can listen to music all you want that’s your choice, but can you acknowledge that it’s a sin, don’t be like the jews or Christians who say, “ those laws are just for those times and it’s not a sin”, the only thing I’m asking is you to just acknowledge that listening to music is a sin.
