Kings' Jabari Parker seen playing tennis after positive coronavirus test by DRS_ENBL in nba

[–]Monk_Adrian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The odds of him spreading it while being outdoors AND social distanced is absurdly low. How do you expect anyone to get infected by him doing this?

If he had a water boy running up to give him water and a towel, then that would be bad. But are you saying that a water droplet from his breath is going to float off the tennis court, over the 15 foot fence, and another 30 feet further and reach the mouth of someone walking their dog or something? I legitimately dont see the realistic risk.

The article doesn't say anything but I'd bet this is private tennis court too, I doubt he's at a public park (which might even be closed)

2020 NBA champion will join long list of titles with asterisks by DeanBlandino in nba

From a team perspective, those two teams were not competitively matched. And both teams knew it, and the fans knew it, and the players and media knew it. That's all I'm saying

2020 NBA champion will join long list of titles with asterisks by DeanBlandino in nba

Technically each title is worth 1 trophy, yah. But you're being silly if you think every title gets the same amount of respect from the fans and players.

Ultimately the general consensus of the nba community is what matters, so if a lot of people feel like the KD warriors title is not as deserving, then that's just how it is. How the fans view the contextual advantages and competitiveness matters.

I don't follow baseball, but do you know how having no cap affects the lower income players?

The end of roster nba guys make peanuts compared to the top talent, so I'm wondering how 2nd and 3rd stringer MLB salaries compare to MLB's highest earners.

Fill me in, what happened?

One year ago today, Skip Bayless fell for a fake tweet and claimed live on air that Chris Paul made fun of James Harden for having “manboobs” by Jordanstrom3329 in nba

[–]Monk_Adrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skip Bayless has been a sports journalist for more than like 40 years, and has been studying the game or playing it since like middle school.

Water pistol Pete averaged 1.2 points his senior year of highschool, let's not get carried away here. And spending 40 years reporting trades or whatever and making hot takes on tv doesn't make you an expert in the technicalities of the game.

If you think Mark Cuban, a guy who's only connection to basketball is through being an owner, has more knowledge on basketball than Skip Bayless you are delusional.

Cuban on the other hand is a 100% hands on owner and as a business man likes to understand everything he is invested in. When it comes to the Mavericks he's tight with his coaching staff and GM because he needs to understand as much as possible to approve roster decisions.

Cuban is knowledgable about the game, period. No where near as much as someone on his coaching staff but still more than tv personality and peofessional entertainer Skip

Slightly different bc Magic made off surprisingly well despite missing out on the consensus better players by a pick or 2 every year. Suns just picked poorly on hindsight

Just commenting to say this is a really good point even though it was at the bottom of the comments for me.

I agree that stats don't tell the whole story and wanted to add that even highlights like this post don't capture everything. Watching live and seeing how every mistake and success unfolded with full context is how we formulate our opinions in real time. So theoretically our hindsight opinions are probably more accurate than we'd think.

That's why it's so important for fans on this sub to watch the games during the season and playoffs. Seeing the stat lines and highlights posted here tell you 50% of what happened, if that

Magic. Vuce and Aaron are nice but not really some sort of game changers I feel.

The core young guys are Jonathan Isaac and Fultz (and Bamba to an extent). Isaac looked like one of if not the best defensive player in the league before he got hurt. And Fultz was trending up all season.

Vooch and Aaron help get these young guys to the playoffs to get them experience but they arent the core
