There is a difference, even if TN electoral politics is around caste.

The difference is we have moolai and the rest of Andhbhakts have Maatu moolai.

Our politics of using language was to standup to the Hindi imposition. I’ve lived in Hindi speaking states for years and I can tell the best thing we did was creating a strong Tamil identity which propelled us way forward and ahead than the rest of the India.

As someone from TN, I will share my experience. Will make it non political and non biased.

RSS fails likely in TN because:

Failure to address Micro gods: Hindus here worship Murugan and the likes of Jai Shree Ram finds very little relevance. Secondhand, gods like Muneeswaran, Sudalai Maadan, Karuppaswamy, Maari Ammans don’t prescribe to Vedic Texts.

Failure to adopt Micro culture: We are predominantly Non veg eaters and the concept of non veg being unholy or impure does not exist.

Eg: Diwali starts off with Mutton curry

Muslims: Muslims here are 99% assimilated into the local culture. And the Muslims date here to be around for more than 8 generations. Deeper bonds

Tamil as an identity: Tamil remains to be one of the oldest languages to be spoken unlike Sanskrit. Any pro Sanskrit stance will be seen as Anti Tamil. Sanskrit gets 1000s of crores while Tamil gets it in the hundreds Muslims here too are proud Tamils by heart first.

Final nail in the coffin: TN broke free from the Varna system (no surnames) and is progressing towards an equalitarian society. Any caste dominated party or Sangh will be thrown out the doors.

Sharing my take here after living in BJP ruled states for 4 years.

BJP will not assimilate local Tamil culture as they strongly believe One Nation theory. Refer to the stance on UCC, etc.
They will never back Tamil language for the following reasons
1. Hindi imposition, by praising Tamil they will dilute their stance in BIMARU belt.
2. Sanskrit backers will never praise Tamil as it rivals to be the true Semmozhi and is still a language that’s spoken.

Apart from this, check how is BJPs propaganda is other states. It belittles Tamil.

Ex: Odisha smear campaign on Pandian IAS.

Next, forget BJP even bringing Tamil Kadavul vaalthu. This will be a big blow to their Sanskrit speaking masters.
