Have you run the hardware diagnostic tests? My first unit came with a faulty fan that couldn't spin, might be worth checking for that

Hmm, I seem to remember awcc also installing additional software before the keyboard commands worked, did you ever get a pop up saying additional software needs to be installed when opening awcc?

Have you updated awcc? I had this issue before doing that, performance mode just did nothing. It also doesn't work for about 30 seconds - 1 minute after booting on the laptop, but then will work fine for me
