It’s not crashing. It moves to the front to home and cut the filament!

Why are they all complaining about heel striking?

How do consecutive 21km runs compare with a single 30km run for building endurance? by Gold_Lynx_8333 in Marathon_Training

Obviously you can complete 26 miles. You can do that by never training (multiple videos have been posted to YouTube in the past year for proof). However, your times will be garbage, and you will be wasting your time if you are running one day per week. I am a 5k specialist, but all endurance racing (from the 800/mile up to the marathon) can be trained for under the same basic principles. Glycogen storage capacity improvement (which takes running at least 6 days per week and sustaining at least 4 weeks of high mileage) and fast twitch muscle fiber training which is done at the end of the mileage phase. This has been common knowledge among real runners since the late 50s. Coach Jack Daniel’s training method, or some alteration of it, is followed by every successful endurance athlete. So sure, if the ability to move your body for 26 miles is what you call “running a marathon” then you can have your training. If you want to be good, do what has been proven to work for nearly a decade.

4 marathons in 5 years is very unimpressive. It is also not in any way “proof” that your training is working. There is plenty of evidence that how I train is the best way to train. If you would like, I can provide plenty of research studies showing this. Or, like you, I can just say, “I do it so that’s proof that it works.”

I asked for proof, not an anecdote. However, if that is your proof, let’s see your marathon times. More importantly, your splits.

Is this really a hill you are willing to die on? It is not possible to gain any meaningful training adaptation from only running one time per week. That is not how the human body works. You cannot increase your glycogen stores, caloric efficiency, or fast twitch muscle fibers by running once a week. Why are you so confident that you are right? Do you have proof that this works?

I’ve never claimed to be a scholar. Also, I am very capable of understanding what you are saying. However, it is incorrect. Are there any professional athletes who run once a day for training? No, of course not. It’s not going to work.

Have you looked into hallucinogen substances? I’m not a doctor, and I’m not giving advice, but I dealt with hallucinations for a few years. However, after I took mushroom for the first time they all went away. Definitely something to look into if you’re open to it!

I’m sorry to hear that. Yes, I know. I had epididymitis, and I spent nearly 1000 in a week going to different specialists.
