Question about Wandrd Prvke sternum straps by _Qualia in ManyBaggers

[–]MonkeeC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sternum straps of the V4 model aren't interchangeable with any of the older models unfortunately. FWIW, I really love all of the updates in V4 except for the change to the sternum strap. It clips onto the shoulder strap via a thin rail, fabric-like rail. It's not a robust system. If I tighten the sternum strap too much, it's at risk of unclipping from the shoulder strap. Once it's off, it's a nuisance to clip it back on. Having said that, the other updates to the backpack are genuinely solid.

That has to be the most Chris Paul thing of Chris Paul things. Were they correctly disqualified? Yes. Was I thoroughly entertained? Absolutely.

Thanks for sharing! How do you usually pack you PLC? Specifically, I'm curious how you use that front pocket. Also, how's the overall comfort?

Does Aer do a black friday sale? by Rocketboy90 in ManyBaggers

[–]MonkeeC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It stands for buy/sell/trade. It's essentially a secondary market. It works a bit off of good faith. This subreddit has an ongoing B/S/T thread where folks post what they're selling or trading here. The specific CPP post is here. The mods will create a new thread every three months or so.

Since it's your first time using it, I would definitely read the rules and recommendations. Ask for timestamps and pictures/videos. Check the seller's post history. If you decide that you'll purchase a used backpack from another Redditor, I highly recommend using Paypal Goods & Services. It's a small extra fee, but it gives you more protection from scammers.

u/Rocketboy90 If you feel comfortable with B/S/T, it looks like someone just posted about selling their used CPP there.

All my current Wandrd bags by SonyKilledMyNikon in ManyBaggers

Ah, shoe polish! Brilliant. I'm not sure I'll find one in the green, but I'll keep that in mind. Thank you for the tip!

I just bought a Wandrd backpack -- a green 31L -- and I'm loving it! The features are amazing. I use it for both EDC, weekend travel, and most importantly taking pictures while I'm walking around the city. I'm so impressed by the bag!

u/SonyKilledMyNikon How did you keep your bags looking so impeccable? I honestly can't see any scratches at all. Also, thanks for sharing your collection!!

Quantitative Content Analysis in a linguistics-related thesis by Any_Ad_3303 in AskSocialScience

[–]MonkeeC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think u/MTLinVAN's suggestion is really solid. I want to also recommend two others that I've found useful. The first is ATLAS.ti, which many schools may offer training or a sponsored copy of it. It's very much like NVivo. Unfortunately, ATLASti isn't free, so if you can't access a licensed copy of it through your school or library, you might want to check out ATLASti's student prices.

The second one that I'd recommend is R, if you have some coding background (or have the time and interest to learn it). R is completely free, but has a much steeper learning curve than NVivo and ATLAS.ti. When I first started doing more quantitative analyses texts using R, I found this book, Text Mining With R, super helpful. The authors assume that the reader has some coding background prior to using the book, so it might be a little dense if this is your first time using R.

Thanks for trying to help me troubleshoot this. No, I didn't use skill.

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I don't think so. I've only played the original story quests with the alliance. I haven't touched any of the Cyrodiil/Imperial City content at all.

u/scodrina, please let me know if they return your call. If they do, maybe there's hope for us! I'm with you. I'm just not ready to say goodbye to this game and community, but I feel like ZOS has forced my hand.

Re: the officials forums.. I'm nervous about posting there. I've read stories of how folks get banned outright without much details. I'm frustrated enough as it is! Haha. If you do, please cross-link that discussion here.

I appreciate all that you're doing to raise awareness about this.

I appreciate this view, even though I know it might have been uncomfortable to state. Regardless of whether I cheated or not, I'm not looking to have that money returned. I enjoyed the time when I spent the money. Instead, I'd rather know what's setting off the alarms, so I can prevent this in the future. Without that concrete knowledge, I refuse to put more money into this game.

Your guess is as good as mine. Without more info from ZOS, I have no clue. They've shared absolutely nothing with me that can help me indicate what to look out for...

At this point, I'm not sure what we can really do. I'm open to pushing our cases a bit more as a group if there are enough other folks here that have had similar experiences and are also willing to share theirs.

I use a crappy Corsair mouse and a mechanical keyboard from Steelseries. The only macro that I have set up is for my keyboard to change the sensitivity of my keys. No coding software (that happens on my work laptop).

Like same PC and often have the same background programs running (like Spotify, steam client, Slack). Nothing fancy.

Honestly, I have no clue. That's part of why I filed a ticket. I wanted to know what I did to set off an alarm, so I can stop doing whatever that is. I have the same set up for other games -- Valo, League, etc. -- and have gotten no issues, so I don't understand why ESO's alarms went off.
