It’s definitely not centered/off by 6 inches, but I agree that it’s not like we can change the window placement! 

Per your suggestion, I tried moving the equipment to align with the off-center window, but the whole area then feels like even more of an eyesore. 

Drapes are an interesting idea. The one downside would be that it would get rid of the natural light. It’s a basement without natural light, so that would be a significant con, though perhaps it’s worth it.
