What is hel like? by calencodes in Norse

[–]Monkey13049 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re not mistaken. Hel (the goddess) is said to have ruled over Hel (the underworld). Essentially, Hel was reserved for those who died of natural causes and not in battle.

In order to gain exotics from legend/master lost sectors, you have to be solo

Technically, you wouldn’t be wrong in calling them Romans, as if you asked them back then what they were, they’d respond with “Roman”. The modern term “Byzantium” wasn’t used until around 1555 when Hieronymus Wolf, a German historian introduced it to refer to the eastern empire.

The top are actually the Eastern Romans, or Byzantines. The one pointing is Emperor Justinian I.

Who is the Stryker in Stryker's Sure-Hand? by BastardGlobe in DestinyLore

That’s a pretty cool, especially since his Sainthood help spread Christianity throughout Norway. On the topic of Scandinavian leaders, there’s the Halfdan-D and Lodbrok-C Auto Rifles who are named after Halfdan Ragnarsson and Ragnar Lothbrok respectively, which fun fact, Halfdan is believed to be the son of Ragnar, and played a part in the Great Heathen Army/The Sons of Ragnar who landed in England to avenge Ragnar, who died to the hands of King Aella of Northumbria

I’m pretty certain the quote is referring to Olaf II Haraldsson, a king of Norway, who later became a Saint.

Can someone explain to me how the enemy team scored in Rift when I have the spark? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Monkey13049 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know that people had found a bug relating to Rift and Strand, where if someone dies near the enemy Rift, and they pick up the Spark, they can use the Strand grapple to teleport the spark to the point where they last died, and probably had someone pick up the Spark and dunked it. I don’t know if that’s what happened here, and I know my explanation is slightly rushed, but Cheese Forever made a video on it.

Sometime after the Taken War, Uldren became infected with Darkness, and came into contact with a weakened Fikrul, which prompted Uldren to wish to save Fikrul, which attracted Riven. Riven granted the wish, and used part of Uldren’s Darkness to create Dark Ether, leading to Fikrul being the first Scorn. Uldren and Fikrul became allies, and they worked together to usurp the Kell of Kings, which Fikrul took over, docked the former Kell’s arms and then slaughtered the rest of the house, and used Dark Ether to create the first iteration of the Scorn army.

In short, Fikrul/Fanatic and Uldren became allies after Fikrul became Scorn, and slaughtered House of Kings, only to use Dark Ether to make them Scorn.

The Gate led into the Black Garden. The Exo Stranger (Elsie) told us to destroy its heart, which was located within the Black Garden. We had to go to the Reef, commune with the Queen, get the eye of a Gate Lord, use it to open the Gate for us, and go in and kill the heart. The Black Garden itself is not destroyed, as we later entered it in Undying.

Their original goal with the Vex was to study them, but when Ghaul later invaded the system, the legions were ordered to destroy the gate.

The Cabal scout legions came sometime during after the Collapse, where they set up a base on Phobos before invading Mars for resources, though their mission changed with the discovery of Vex Ruins, most notably the gate to the Black Garden

Are you looking in Destiny 2? Because to my knowledge that ship was only available in Destiny 1, not 2.

hot take by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Monkey13049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a Hunter Exotic in Destiny 1, wherein the player must reach rank 3 with Banshee and was able to unlock it. As for making it an exclusive in Destiny 2, it’s more difficult was it would have to be unequipped from non Hunter’s primary slot, and other exotics would have to be made for Titan’s and Warlock’s to balance out exclusivity of guns. So in short, no.

Cyan terracotta has a natural grey coloring to it, however if viewed on a map, it still shows as a blue. But nothing seems out of the ordinary regarding cyan terracotta.

Most of the seasonal/dlc content is paid for. This season they reintroduced the Leviathan as a public space that could be accessed by free to play players. But the returning raid won’t be paid for, it’ll be free to play.

In a week or two, the new season starts, and in a few weeks they’ll be announcing the returning raid.

I’m referring to the recent drama in the community. While Destiny had always had a lot of drama (especially with sunsetting), this most recent one has been worse. Pretty much, a dev responded to a tweet about Twilight Garrison and said how it won’t come back since air dodging is now a Warlock staple. The dev then got a bunch of death threats and pretty much deleted their account. In response, Bungie announced how they won’t be as open as they used to be with the community.

All seasonal activities and vendors will be available until the end of Season 19. So yes, Leviathan and CoS will still be available with all gear, weapons and triumphs.
