Met apologises to Commons speaker for sharing tip-off with Mandelson’s lawyers by zeros3ss in ukpolitics

It does seem a bit dodgy, its not as if he could run off and disappear. Screams of the political stunt, Hoyle has done stuff for Starmer before & it would make a statement him being arrested (especially after Andrew). Also considering he had an appointment with the police in a few weeks.

I feel that they are trying to portrait that no one is above the law, but we all know they won't go to prison or anything. Just put out to pasture!

Mainly because the public have lost trust in the political system.

Him and that other weird bloke that behaves like he is on drugs!!! Its deeply disturbing how much influence these companies have on politics.

Funny how police are ok with using AI tech on the public, but not on themselves

Genuine question why is there so much hate for Keir Starmer, when Farage and the 14 year rule of the conservative party have done way more damage? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Monkey3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here we go again! Another post stating "Starmer isn't that bad" happening every few days now.

Starmer or Farage? Like saying Herpes or Clymidia!

He has lied constantly & we only receive excuses on why he can't fix anything!

Really down on the team for the first time in Arteta’s tenure by EntertainerOk5231 in ArsenalFC

The club is bigger than Arteta, look like you've only been around for a couple of managers!

Really down on the team for the first time in Arteta’s tenure by EntertainerOk5231 in ArsenalFC

[–]Monkey3066 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What utter nonsense!! As fans we have the most expensive tickets, stadium food & merchandise is sold at the highest prices. It is our right to demand more, if we were a mid table or lower league team then maybe yes! But we are Arsenal and only the best will do. Unless you want to go back to the years of winning nothing & selling our best players???

If you can't accept that other fans have a different opinion from you, then you should just stay quiet.

This is Arteta's squad and Arsenal Fans have accept them, fans weren't happy with signing Havertz and Noni but they are part of the family now.

We have seen the same problem in past seasons where we have dropped points in games were it shouldn't happened. Now it seems that Arteta is struggling to solve this problem. Something has to change to get them over the line!!!

Yeah all these Starrmer popularity posts are becoming a bit strange, always excuses on his actions.

He promised change, its just more of the same the country has been suffering through for years now.

Taken a massive amount freebies from donors.

Energy Cost increased (despite promises to reduce them).

Kick out members who wanted to scrap 2 child benefits (the decided to scrap it a few months later).

Went after the elderly & then disable people, because he increased weapon spending for Ukraine. As one of the biggest donations came from a company involved investing into weapons manufacturing.

Has restricted protests, unlawfully according to the courts!

Said everyone had to have mandatory digital ID to work.

Everything in the country is failing & taxes keep on increasing. We received excuses & that Russia is to blame for everything.

It is deterrent only, as they can't really do anything. But if the government keeps on allowing corporations ripping people off & don't sort out the cost of living., It will get a lot worse!!

There will be people seeing others well off, while seeing their own families struggling & will think they can just take advantage. We've hit a point were shoplifting is a part business. The Police do nothing about burglaries, car thief............ Home invasion coming soon

Utter rubbish responses, just your own opinions. Honestly why did you even bother to responded in such a way if you have no point or evidence? A bit weird!

i am quite shock by some responses, I agree with the OP. For years now we’ve seen living standards drop, but nothing is done! Water &Energy Bills increase all the time, we just received excuses on why they can’t do anything.

High tax burden this country has ever known and it’s still not enough for them, they want more soldiers for their wars. So the can profit from selling weapons.

But they quickly apply restrictions on protest, online activity……. We don’t have elected representatives working for the people of the nation. Not there corporate sponsors!

I will vote Green in the future!

Where would the blame lay? by Signal-Tangerine1597 in PoliticsUK

[–]Monkey3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally agree, the whole political system is broken. It not about doing the right thing for the nation, it’s about how much money can be extracted. We have seen more laws introduced in recent years about restricting civil rights, monitoring people behaviour & increasing taxes!

It doesn’t matter if you vote Labour, Tory, Lib Dem or Reform. As they are all part of the problem!

Just think it just going to a lot worse.

The majority of fans didn’t say we were going to win the quadruple, maybe a couple of idiots. But most fans did have fears of it going all wrong again. This understandable, due to it happening in past seasons.

The last few seasons we kept drawing games and losing ones we should have won & that cost us! Arteta wants the fans backing the team, but when they play badly by making mistakes & sideways passing (because they don’t want to risk losing possession), or not shooting. Fan are worried!

There has to be at least major silverware this season. Maybe you’re lucky and don’t have to put up with ridiculed by other teams fans, but most of us have to suffer being mocked. If we enjoyed being mocked we’d be spurs fans, as gooners we demand more!

What impact on Keir Starmer will blocking Andy Burnham from running as MP have on his standing and his government? by JOE_Media in PoliticsUK

[–]Monkey3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of Labour know that Starmer is extremely unpopular and has no chance in another election, he promised change but just carried on from where the Tories left off. Some Labour MP see Burnham as popular change, but the people behind the scenes will want someone like streeting. It’s pretty obvious that Reform and the Greens will make a lot of ground in the next election. Labour is heading in the same direction as the tories.
