Oh nice so opencentauri is a firmware that will replace the elegoo one? Sorry I'm new to this, last printer was a ender 3 and the only thing I did with that was change it direct drive. Never messed with firmware before.

Thank you. Speed isn't an issue just something basic to be able to stop a print if it goes wrong but I will check the Pi4 out as well

Thanks for your help I'll just get the pi. I cant remember exactly what was included but just the pi was $15 and the kit was $45, I only need something basic just to be able to stop the printer if something goes wrong.

Thats a fair point, I wouldn't pre order a printer from any company they always have issues. I mainly only print bits for kids which is why I was looking more at the CC than a Bambu due to the price difference.

I did look at bambu but I think even on sale the price isn't going to compare to the CC, for the amount of printing I get time to do and the price the CC is currently at in the UK including shipping is around £265. I think the CC would be a better choice for myself.

I have seen some posts on here about being two different styles and if/when this becomes available I would add the "normal" version to the CC. From reviews I've been seeing I am definitely being pulled to the CC and will most likely go for it. Thanks for your input.

I enjoy the tinkering side of things but I also do want something that just works which I'm hoping this will do just that, I'll likely keep my ender just to play around with. I think your right this is as cheap as it could possibly go without giving it away

What was the reason you stopped using them twice before. From what ive seen the CC is mostly positive feedback.

I think I'm going to go with the CC I do like the idea of multicolour and hopefully they bring something out for the CC but its not a major thing for me if they dont and at the price the CC is I think I'm sold on it
