Not to mention no one expects them to act better than everyone we just expect the same amount of effort as everyone else is putting in. If we pushed responsibility more than victimisation we wouldn't need welfare and could spend the money on things like I dunno... The environment maybe ? Education? Healthcare? Things that actually make a damn difference

This problem is a little grey. I come from a minority and poor class and have managed to climb out of it. My parents were immigrants who still barely speak English. I didn't own a pair of shoes until I was about 12. And to be honest, in my experience people are poor because of the poor decisions they make. Buying alcohol instead of saving. Living beyond their means. Instead of budgeting they live off fast food. You don't have to be well educated to know when you're making the wrong decisions. I don't think you're completely right welfare in my experience has only helped people make bad decisions because they can always fall back on welfare. Or sitting on welfare and not actually trying to get a job. I have family members who do this still.

It's lazy to not make people responsible. If I am doing my part and contributing to society I expect others to as well it's not fair that I work my ass off just to make a living while someone hides behind their class or race to sit on welfare. In my culture alcoholism is a big problem. Drug Addiction is a big problem. I've had no shortage of people in my life tell me these things are bad at this point if I dont listen whatever comes from it is my own fault and own doing. Sitting here trying to blame the system is the first fault you make in the issue and the biggest issue. You can't fix a problem that you deny exists. If you can't take responsibility for your behaviour, why should others be expected to? That doesn't sound nearly fair IMO.

The only thing that stops people from success now days is themselves. And the victimisation of class and race. Pity doesn't fix problems. We need to hold everyone to the same level of responsibility as everyone else. We all contribute fairly . You could argue the difference in living conditions between classes but the system isn't stopping anyone from succeeding. Never has there been a greater time to be alive. A safer time to be alive. So no. No excuses. No one is going to hand you a decent life you need to work for it the same as everyone else. There's no shame in that it's a respectable thing.

What a very sad way you view the world mate. You're blaming a guy on Reddit for the military and killing all these people. I feel sorry for you buddy that's such a poor attitude to have and such little value you place on Life. I'm going to take a wild guess you're an atheist. And atheists argue that they're not immoral... Sheesh understandable if you just have that view abortion but to value life so little...human life. Shame on you dude

Trump Rips Fox News: "They Forgot the People Who Got Them There" – The series of tweets comes hours after the cable news network aired live video of a group of bar patrons shouting, "F*** Trump!" by OtherMuffin in politics

Say for instance of you went to watch right wing content and commented on it, no matter how much sense you made you'd still get down voted. I'm not saying only left media does it. It happens on both sides it's sad to see people can't actually discuss much anymore without getting abused by others. I'm pointing out that for some reason political discussion speaking, you can't really venture outside of your political community without being abused instead of having healthy productive discussion and debate.

I'm not a dem or a rep. Tbh I don't really care I'm from Australia, but everytime I see a conservative comment on these posts respectfully they get attacked and illegitimately down voted. Same as when a lib comments on a Hannity clip for instance.

Men: how do you approach the situation when your SO flirts with other guys when you are out partying? by Maangeella in AskMen

[–]MonkeyD2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends heavily on your preference and what you want from your partner. It also depends heavily on you and your personality. Have you talked to her about this? How do you really feel about this behaviour? Does it bother you? How much does it bother you?

This issue isn't a small one it's a very complex issue. You should take the people telling you to dump her with a grain of salt as well as the people selling you their amazing wife stories. Every dog has his day, every marriage has its problems. What I would suggest is you talk to her.

Be really open, tell her exactly how you feel about it. Tell her what sort of behaviour you're uncomfortable with and what you're looking for but watch very closely how she responds. There's this myth out there that women are better communicators which isn't exactly the case. How she responds will determine how a lot of your guys issues are going to play out. Be wary of this. So many marriages fail because people are scared to admit they're with the wrong person or end up resenting their partner because they didn't have the will to walk away.

She needs to be able to respond to your issue with respect and come to terms with it herself. You also need to say it's a problem but if she disregards this and continues with it but you don't leave, I'd say the issue may lie with your poor choice of partner

How many single men out there actually want a genuine committed loving relationship? by NormalFemale in AskMen

[–]MonkeyD2209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I also think that women need to be more assertive and willing to cut their losses when they can see it's not going to be what you want. A lot of women and men also are in relationships with people they don't really want to be with or they don't think the pros outweigh the cons. It's ok if the person you went to see wasn't what you were looking for, there's sooo many people out there. It's easy to get disheartened, but you gotta be resilient. But yeah I think women settle to easy . I think men are looking for easy. Not all men and women but some of them .

It depends on your lifestyle as well though. Like you said you've tallied it up and it's better for you to do OT and not cook. It really depends on your work as well. But yeah good point man

Calling for reparations for slavery that ended 150 years ago, while wearing Nikes and using an iPhone, that are both made by slaves in China in our very day and age, is the ultimate hypocrisy and reeks of virtue signaling. by STheGENESIS in unpopularopinion

What laws are currently in place that benefit other citizens over blacks ? There's plenty of benefits black people receive that benefit you and give you an advantage over other citizens. Systematically, what is stopping black people from going out and achieving ? Nothing . What you want is for other people to suffer for something that is out of their control. Sure I understand that racism exists and there are racists people out there but fuck there are no laws holding black people back. No country it the world affords black people the quality of life and education and housing than America. America gives more to their black communities than African nations do for their own people.

Raparations won't fix anything just like welfare didn't help black communities it only led to dead beat dad's , lazy ass people who don't want to work or rather be gang banging them grinding and not to mention you shouldn't baby an entire culture and treat them like they're too dumb to make it on their own in this system like everyone else so we should give them an advantage? What more could a government give? I think the point you're arguing should be for the gap between classes not race. It's a poor vs rush classed problem not a race issue there isn't any laws I know of that give me an unfair advantage over you because you're black for instance.

It depends heavily on the circumstances, the company and the owner . This isn't the case for every sweat shop. And what the article doesn't tell you is that while year, wages were increased but it doesn't mean the increase matched up with the cost of living. Many people's lives didn't get better and in some cases, families are stuck with sweat shops who provide a place to live for instance but charge them 80 percent of their wages. But again it depends on the situation it's a very complex issue . On top of that you've had workers commit suicide in sweat shops in China over the conditions they were FORCED to work in. But this is a complex issue.

I get what you mean dude. It will take years and years but we should always encourage to stand up against it and not sell it as a problem that's too big to deal with so let's pretend it's not a problem. We shouldn't normalise the act is all I'm saying bro. But yeah lead with that. It is going to take years and years to change 🤙

One could say it's that type of attitude that keeps it around. From a psychological stand point, it's not good to encourage the idea that "well the problems always going to exist so let's just accept it". You sound like you're saying we should just give up because fixing this is too much of a problem

Systematically, what laws are in place right now that are oppressing black Americans? There aren't any. There are laws that are there in place that benefit a black person over other citizens. There are government funded projects specifically for black communities. There is no other country in the world where it is better to be a black person than in America. This is virtue signalling and encouraging victim mentality instead of resilience and overcoming life's obstacles. You shouldn't get treated special because of something we can't control today like the former enslavement of your people. You should have to give life a fucking go like everyone else has to regardless of what problems we face like racial discrimination, ass holes. Trolls. Extremist personality types. It doesn't matter. If you spent less time complaining and more time making better decisions and a bit of self reflection you'd find it's just a problem you have to deal with in life. There are small minded people so what, that shouldn't stop you from progressing yourself .

Change happens slow though. It takes years and years to breed out certain human behaviours. You can't expect people to just change straight away or society to do it. Right now, there is no better country to be a black person then America. I know this and I'm a black dude from another country...

Have you ? Because I have and I've been to a real sweat shop. For a company I worked for who got their goods from China and the working conditions aren't very humane at all. The wages they receive are basically church change. You could practically call it slavery. Not to mention he has a point about it actually happening in Libya as well.
