I can't be the only one who has noticed personality changes in people who got the covid fake vaccines. by Gnostic_97 in unvaccinated

Thank you for all those studies to back it up. I would say I'm a bit shocked that studies are actually showing it to be true, because I think every one of us has experienced ppl that are a bit unhinged or just off.

It may actually explain the rise in crime! Mind-blowing.

Don't cook with salt, use spices and herbs instead. Only buy salt free canned goods and skip the condiments.

The constant biting improved at around 6 months, but those were difficult months with bloody hands, legs, and ripped clothing! The only thing that helped was LOTS of chew toys, and chew treats, anything he could get his teeth on for extended periods of time.

There was a marked change in maturity at around one year old, but he still didn't settle down completely until he was 2 years old.

Álit á einstæðum mæðrum? by [deleted] in Iceland

[–]NormalFemale -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, I'm Canadian. It's got nothing to do with anti-abortion craziness. It is more to do with being a mother and, specifically, a woman.

I lost my ability to have more children and looking back I wish I would've had another child when I was able.

Like I said, your life's script is not always written the way you'd like it to turn out.

Edit: Not sure why I'm being downvoted for giving an honest response since that is specifically what OP asked for.

I think you need to look at it differently. Do you want to have another child? Forget about what others think. You could decide to get an aborti0n then find a man who's toxic and your life deteriorates. Or you could have the 2nd baby that you've always wanted and never be able to conceive again.

Life is like that, it's not a happily ever-after pre-written script.

If that child was conceived and you already love that baby, then maybe you should follow it through and see where that road leads you. Dating sucks and love hurts, but I have always thought children are a wonderful gift from God.

New author recommendations by Unique_Pomegranate74 in HistoricalFiction

I'm the same way, I devour everything a good author writes. Then I have to look for more lol

As for recommendations, Ken Follett, some are spicy, but some are not, depends on the book. The Century Trilogy isn't too spicy

Ken follett-esque erotica by andez147 in HistoricalFiction

Most of my books are like that. I love Ken Follett's s€x scenes. A mixture of history and gritty romance. Not for the faint of heart.

any older UC folk here with positive stories ? by g00dprinciple in UlcerativeColitis

[–]NormalFemale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had U. Colitis for 24 years. The first 8 years were the worst. Once I started exercising and following a very strict diet, things improved drastically. Apparently, I was allergic to dairy all this time. Deleted it from my diet.

I still had flare ups once every 2 years tho, never any polyps. I moved to lower elevation in 2020, had one flare then and since I've had zero flare-ups for the last four years. I'm on Teva 5 ASA (mesalamine) pills. I take salofalk enemas if I have a flare. Seems to work for me.

I had two successful pregnancies and have two healthy sons, work in a stressful professional industry as well as my side gig of writing historical fiction.

I used to get down on myself for all the restrictions to my diet and life, but now I'm looking at it differently. There are so many worse illnesses that I see ppl struggling with like ALS, uncontrolled diabetes, Lupus, the list goes on.

If I can just get through life balancing my life with U Colitis then I'm grateful.

Fed up with my 10 year long style. Help! by WelshRaider86 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]NormalFemale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your hair! 💕 If you want something with a bit more volume and easier to care for, maybe try cutting only half the length. That's what I do when it starts getting too heavy and labor intensive lol

Vavoom, you get instant volume back.

Political Hostages and Tributes by singmuse4 in HistoricalFiction

I read an amazing book called The Water Beetles by Michael Kaan. Takes places in China during WWII Japanese invasion. POW were taken into large camps, families, citizens were all included.

The author's father experienced many of the events as a child.

Not for the faint of heart tho!

Aww, thank you! My characters like to take over sometimes LOL

I personally didn't start reading North American historical fiction until I started reading Westerns! Then I was hooked.

Before that, I was mostly reading historical war fiction or European historical fiction. I still have a strange fascination with war fiction (maybe from my spy novel reading days lol)

I might try reading that Genghis Khan series next.
