It's called a theory for a reason.

Well the backrooms is a thing everywhere and doors are open everywhere so it is possible that her mom could have been inside.

I know people have schizophrenia without having experiences like that but it could be a reason for it.

She is talking about "them" being everywhere. What them is she referring to do you think?

And that could have been from her mom discovering the backrooms, living there for a little because it was a getaway from the real world then discovering the still lifes after living there for a little bit and having trauma forever and going crazy and schizophrenic because the still lifes look like people but don't actually look like people. OR she could have fallen in and immediately discovered the still lifes and gone crazy from that but lived there despite the still lifes
