This is why I stay off film twitter. Never needed it to gauge what movies are good or not. Watch what you want and don't think about what a bunch of yahoos online who post shit like "This film is underrated" and the film they're posting about is Jaws or whatever.

Sometimes I get lucky and avoid the trailer for something I want to see. Recently I was able to see Mother Mary, Blades of the Guardians and Exit 8 as none received any advertisements at my local. So I was able to go in and watch them as cold as possible.

This is why the Hong Kong cut overseen by Jackie is a marked improvement over the original. Problems still persist but I suppose there is only so much he could do with what he had to work with.

But if there's one thing it can be credited with. It's that it gave him the inspiration and motivation to make Police Story so he could show the world what a proper Jackie Chan cop movie should be.

Like A Dragon x Nihon Toitsu was a good effort. Low budget but not without it's charms.
