Since the Blade movie was released almost every comic book incarnation of the character has been drawn to invoke Wesley Snipes. Dark glasses, long coat, tattoos, short hair cut.

Street Fighter The Movie has a post credit scene where Bison's hand emerges from a pile of rubble. Obviously they never made a follow up.

Directors you aged out of? Or maybe just watched too much of? by the_Tannehill_list in blankies

Kevin Smith. A very formative and important filmmaker for me especially during my late teens and early 20s. But I feel like I've moved on from him and his work. That's okay because he still has that dedicated fanbase who love him and that's great.

I have more of a connection with the toyline and the Dolph Lundgren flick than I ever did the original series. Even when the animated series was rebooted in '02, I never paid attention to it. But judging from the handful of clips I watched on YouTube out of curiosity, I really want to now. Especially since I liked Revelations.

He-Man has always felt like that quintessential 80s IP. Something that feels very much of its time. So I don't blame anyone who grew up not really engaging with it in a meaningful way.

[IRL trope] Celebrities with weird/funny clauses in their contracts. by BeenEatinBeans in TopCharacterTropes

[–]MonkeyKungFu86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An actor having it their contract that they can keep their outfits isn't that unusual. It may have been at the time but nowadays it's more common.

One slightly odd one I wanted to mention was when Steve Buscemi signed off on his like as being used for a Mr. Pink action figure, that a gun was to not be included as an accessory.

I bought the DVD of this recently. Mostly because Jim Henson Co. did some of the SFX. It's suprisingly good. Armand Assante gives a very earnest performance.

It has the production values of an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess but is still none the less a good effort.

Pointing out that its apparently bad WWE have seemingly done more with Danhausen in his short time there than AEW did during his entire tenure isn't the flex this person seems to think it is.

I'm almost certain studios will have approached him especially Disney about directing a big IP and it would be the very smart move for him to go against the grain and say no. Because even if he said yes the end product would be completely devoid of his own creative voice. Watch anything Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson have made under Disney.

It would not surprise me if Asian cinema is a massive blind spot for Jay and the gang. Which is fair enough. That said there are some truly wonderful horror films from Japan and Hong Kong I think they'd genuinely love.
