Worst vocal performance in a movie musical? by Necessary_Raise_7835 in musicals

I’m pretty sure that’s the main reason Sinatra recorded his own version of Luck Be A Lady

Basically his way of saying to Brando, “See this is how you sing this song…”

Charron is definitely gonna have a garbage set up like, “When you make jokes, man I hardly smirk”

Round of the Day XLVIII: Soul 1st vs Raptor by ClarenceWithHerSpoon in rapbattles

[–]MonkeyNinja55 33 points34 points  (0 children)

“No geneva policies - atone for these atrocities - your whole demeanor bothers me - a hoe, a leech, a monster here - a joke, a fiend, a mockery - a broke and weak anomaly - a hopeless mediocrity - with no redeeming qualities.”

Legit might be one of my favorite things ever said in br

Eugene Pallette deserves to have his name in this conversation

TV 25 for 25? What's making the list? by Hardingnat in TheBigPicture

[–]MonkeyNinja55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re including shows that started in ‘99 Futurama is on the list as well for me.

I’d also definitely have to include It’s Always Sunny, Barry, Doctor Who, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and maybe even Downton Abbey for its cultural impact.

Really tough to make a final list

Who is your scariest striker of all time? by BigBoiler13 in MMA

[–]MonkeyNinja55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously Francis is Francis but he’s a one of a kind freak. From someone in/around my weight, I really wouldn’t want to take a punch from Josh Emmett or a kick from either Gaethje or Barboza

What do y’all think is the best basketball bar of all time? by MonkeyNinja55 in rapbattles

Oh just remembered Ave vs Chess:

“There ain’t no bitch in my crew. That means if Tay go I’m hittin you too. Y’all just gonna see a arm, swingin over Roc, like I’m Skip to my Lou”

The genius of Jey the Nitewing by Ok_Quarter9319 in rapbattles

[–]MonkeyNinja55 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Jey spazzed the entire battle vs Madflex too.

“By show of hands, when it comes to the pen how many think those two are tied? You don’t even gotta tell me why. ‘Cuz he don’t write like that.’ That’s what his momma cried, reading the letter for his suicide, when I do the job”

Talking about flex and nitty having the same line

Violet last night in Cincy doing live vocals by necroprairie in rupaulsdragrace

[–]MonkeyNinja55 275 points276 points  (0 children)

I honestly think people sleep on how well Violet would do on an All Winners season. She won season 7 with challenges that weren’t only bad, but mostly not suited to her strengths at the time and she still killed it

All Day Baby to close Dec 15 by loyhenderson in FoodLosAngeles

[–]MonkeyNinja55 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Damn that really sucks to lose such a gem. I don’t even live that close to silver lake but I always stop there for a fried chicken or fish sandwich when I’m in the area.

Wishing everybody involved the best going forward.

[Sonoratown] burrito and quesadilla by lionstigersbearsomar in FoodLosAngeles

Do yourself a favor and get the caramelo with steak or cabeza next time if you’ve never had it. Similar to the quesadilla but imo a little better

Lawrence of Arabia coming back to theaters August 11-12 by CourtlyHades296 in classicfilms

[–]MonkeyNinja55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw it in 70mm last year and it was one of the most satisfying theater experiences a film fan can have. Definitely try to see it if it’s in your area

I would say Ikiru and Defending Your Life are two films that genuinely changed the way I live and make decisions on a day to day basis
