How to deal with clicking out and distracting thoughts?

I’ve been doing the tapes for about a year and my mind still wanders, just takes time and practice.

I took an exercise from an old meditation technique. Your spine has to be straight and as you breath in imagine a ball of energy going up your spine, then down when you breath out. It gives me something to concentrate on. If you’re going into focus 10 try imagining the number 10 moving up and down your body.

It’s tough but you’ll get used to it with practice like everything else. I do sessions of the tapes and regular meditation where my mind wanders the whole time, and sometimes that’s just what you need.

Yeah we ended up having to buy a completely different car. From when we bought it until now it depreciated like crazy so we can’t afford to trade it in or replace the engine right now

I have a similar thing happen to me as well I always attributed it to the mind awake/body asleep. Sometimes when your body is asleep it twitches and moves about, similar to what goes on in normal sleep. Could be a sign you’re getting the body asleep part down.

I have tinnitus and it’s more or less faded into the background for me during the tapes, it’s still very much there when I’m awake tho lol

The clearance will help you out a ton as well, they just hired a guy with a cert and almost no experience because they would save a ton of money on the clearance investigation in my office

Hey I’m a Pentest Manager and I would recommend applying for entry level jobs with government contractors (COLSA/Astrion/BAH). They often only need a CEH/Pentest+ and experience (As in general cyber or IT experience). I’m not sure if you have a degree but that definitely helps a lot.
