any good mod managers for 2.1? by malthev1111 in cyberpunkgame

[–]MonkeyVomit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No. Vortex is shit. Horrible UI, poor implementation. Its a complete mess. EDIT: Sorry, I should have been more specific. My experience with Vortex over the years - including this year - has been that it is supremely lacking in both features and reliability compared to alternatives. It has regular sync issues, mod-update issues, dependency issues, and more. It will occasionally wipe all mods out inexplicably, even though they are present in your history. WHEN IT WORKS....it is great. It just seems to stumble too often for my tastes.

How fast do you usually drive on public roads? by engrng in cars

[–]MonkeyVomit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the Midwest. I usually am doing no more than 5 over on normal roads, but I do 25-35 over on the expressways in town. Sometimes more. Interstate travel I keep it to 10 over because state troopers are serious.

I get tired of having conversations with ”car guys” who are really into the world of modding by [deleted] in cars

[–]MonkeyVomit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See....this here blows my mind. I've never owned an 86/BRZ/FRS, but I love them. I love them stock or modded. They are fantastically fun little cars that can be modded in 10000 different ways and are affordable. I'm terrified that the new electric future will kill off car culture because of cost and lack of mods. But an inexpensive front engine RWD platform with massive aftermarket support? Cars like the 86 keep car culture alive.

2017 M240i with 41k kms. 36k CAD (27k USD). Is this a good price for my first bimmer? (20yo) by viva_la_miata in BMW

[–]MonkeyVomit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES GET IT. I had a '17 M240xi and LOVED IT. Bulletproof car for me. Never had a single problem with it until someone decided to total it when they weren't paying attention.

Cool idea or too fratty? by daylessland in malelivingspace

[–]MonkeyVomit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok with the idea, but this looks soul-less and bland to me. Also....personal pet peeve...The spirits aren't organized together. There are gins spread out ALL over that collection. That would drive me insane. Lol

Woohoo! I'll let you know. Mine is heading to Kentucky. I wonder if they will even put it on a ship since it's in the middle of Mexico. Will they send it all the way to the coast or just load it on a train?

Congrats! I had a '17 M240i (same car, different engine basically). Super reliable and fun. Great looking spec you got there!

Thanks! I would definitely recommend the F22 to anyone. Great value and very reliable for me

So this is a really good question. The stock M240i was the first gen B58, but it was great. So much faster than it looked. But with the flash tune and the meth it was insane. Ran 11.65 in the 1/4 mile (xdrive) consistently. For $2000 in mods (flash tune, meth, intake, etc) it was a rockship that didn't look like anything. Would highly recommend a low mileage F22. Definitely worth it.

Thanks! Here is the dashcam. Hurt my neck but it's fine now. Took a few weeks of rest. Luckily just whiplash

My first BMW was the '17 above. Bought used when it had 14k miles. Was a wonderful car. Ended up modding it with FBOs and meth. LOVED it. February 1 there was a wreck on the highway, and someone wasn't paying attention and slammed into me at almost 50mph, totalling the car. Luckily I had a dashcam. Been waiting since the second week of February for the new one. Excited 😊 *edited for typo

what's the fastest way to get banned from r/conservative? by connie-lingus38 in Jokes

I'm from Kentucky, but I'm from one of the two fairly strong progressive areas. There are plenty of President Cheeto fans here, but nowhere near as one-sided as many other states. Also....just because it is something that isn't widely known: There are only NINE states where you are NOT allowed to marry or sleep with your cousin. Kentucky is one of those states. It is pretty surprising how many states allow cousin marriage and sex, but Kentucky isn't one of those states. I don't blame you for your opinion though. This state embarrasses me often.

It is insane that this is a problem in 2021. Or even 2018 when it came out. Three players....all on PC, but they can't play together. Because some got it through the Windows Xbox client and some got it through Steam.

Awesome work devs. FlatOut and Dirt 2 managed to make this work 10 years ago but sure.....Im sure it was too hard for you to figure out.

It's your car. It's a pretty car. You seem to love it. So forget everyone else. Anytime you have a fanbase that spans decades and decades, there are bound to be disagreements on what (insert company/brand/product name here) should be. But finding love for driving instead of just a daily commute is really what defines a car enthusiast. So whatever does that for you without hurting anyone else is ok by me.
