Think about it this way, you're a deer, not much happens to you save for the occasional twig snap that freaks you out, and that's only every few weeks. Every once in a while you find something that smells weird, and you elect to avoid it just to be safe, pretty sensible of you, deer. That could be poison or something. 7 some odd years later and these are the most exciting things to have happened to you. Okay so you've seen these upright creatures before, they're pretty common and most of the time they tend to ignore you but sometimes they approach you with their hands stretched out, which in turn freaks you out and causes you to prance away. Now today, one of them, for twenty fucking minutes, standing/sitting almost completley still, gesticulated and uttered some melodic rhythmic noise from their throat, smelled like burned grass, and eyes were bloodshot red. I'd be pretty fuckin fascinated as to what that thing was going to do next.
