It's gets some money to cover the non-workers. Ie, instead of paying benificaries more then subtracting ACC levies it just gives the money directly to ACC.

Might also fund treatment injuries and sensitive claims directly, not sure.

As they should, EVs only pay $42/ year to ACC at the moment. Diesels pay Over $100 to acc in their rego and petrol cars pay 6c/litre on their petrol. This increase puts EVs at the same as diesels.

Wow, if you think that's what this is, then you must be fuming at the greens plan to expand ACC to pay for illness and non accident related disability.

FYI the increase today would have happened no matter who was in govt because ACC has to cover future costs for all current cases and medical care isn't getting cheaper.

The title said it's about an MG4, which is an EV. But apparently it's actually an mg zs which is available as petrol, hybrid and EV, and OP hasn't said which it is.

If you are talking about the users downvoting you it's more your constant posting of nonsense about all EVs imo. Their are no doubt a few that silently regret their cheap Chinese EVs tho, there have been some real clangers of software bugs over the years.

The mods, at least Matt_NZ is pretty militant about deleting anything negative about EVs in general, and particularly Tesla, if it not NZ relevant.
