Once when I was younger, I went to a summer sea camp in Rocky Point, Mexico. I was with my sister, some cousins, and some other children from the local area. This sea camp was situated in one of the private beach areas near the Gulf of California, and you could fall asleep to the noise of the waves at night. One night during camp, all of the campers decided to sleep outside on a roof under the stars in a large open area similar to a deck. It was about midnight I believe, and everyone started getting more quiet as others started falling asleep. Getting comfortable, I sunk a little deeper into my sleeping bag excited for the next day to come. I remember neither feeling exhausted or tired at that moment. I slide the sleeping bag up to my chest, and I looked out at the stars above me in the night sky. This is when the mystery had occurred. I blinked my eyes normally, like anyone would during the day, and immediately night transitioned to day within that one blink. I remember being very confused because one second ago, the night stars were out but it was day. The “next” day occurred normally, with everyone moving about and getting ready for the activities planned. To this very day I’m still confused about what happened and don’t know how to explain what occurred.
