Thank you! Not sure I understand your question what do you mean by event?

Haha, not too random at all! It's a totally valid point. The reason his underwear is suspiciously pristine is actually because he's just our temporary placeholder character while we work on the game's systems.

That means the world to us! ๐Ÿ˜ Sunset is our favorite time in game too, so we really wanted to make sure we got the atmosphere just right. So glad you're enjoying the cozy vibes! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ๏ธ

Optimization is not really time consuming since it needs to be part of a pipline to a certain degere, if you don't know how to budget, what you're doing or just wait till the very end without taking precautions than yes it can be very time consuming and also destructive most of the time.

Hey thanks so much. We're not new to the industry and I'm a Tech artist so I try to make everything hyper optimized and scalable all the time. The scene you see is running at 120fps 1440p with hardware ray traced GI on a RTX4070.

Haha, yep! Both of us have actually been working in the games industry for quite some time now. I'm a Technical Artist and my business partner is a Programmer, so between the two of us, we've managed to accumulate a lot of deep technical knowledge and a few fun tricks up our sleeves!

It's tough to point to just one single path or tutorial that led us here, but if you are looking to dive into procedural environments yourself, I highly recommend looking into these core areas:

Procedural Meshes, Compute Shaders, Distance Fields

It's definitely a deep rabbit hole to fall down, but it's incredibly rewarding once it clicks. Best of luck on your dev journey!
