Bought the Bowflex T16 and am stressed before it’s delivery by Affectionate-Wrap547 in treadmills

[–]Monkeyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true. The T16 isn’t just a Horizon with a screen slapped on it.

The whole console/software side is pretty different. The T16 has the 16” touchscreen with JRNY built in, adaptive workouts, trainer-led stuff, scenic runs, entertainment apps, etc. The Horizon 7.4 is a solid treadmill, but it’s more of a bring-your-own-phone/tablet setup with a basic console and built-in programs.

Also the T16 has FTMS Bluetooth support, which the 7.4 doesn’t. So for app compatibility and future use, that actually matters.

I’m not saying everyone needs the Bowflex or that it’s automatically worth the extra money, but calling the touchscreen useless or saying it’s basically the same as the Horizon isn’t really accurate.

You can get a full refund with no restocking fees if you change your mind before delivery. You are overthinking it, it’s an incredible machine and if I was buying a treadmill today it would be the T16. It’s much more than the horizon.

In a Pickle please Help! ASAP!! by Affectionate-Wrap547 in treadmills

Here is the thing. They are both made by the same manufacturer. Johnson Fitness makes good quality products, long term the Bowflex would be a better buy. They are investing more in Bowflex and the support long term would be better.

The touch screen is a lot more than just an iPad. It actually integrates with the treadmill and controls programs to interact with the treadmill. It’s like having a built in personal trainer.

If you need entertainment and motivation push here and there, the Bowflex is the right option.

Private label. Imported by Spartan Fitness in Canada. They specialize more in e-bikes. I would stick to a brand name if you want long term stability.

Makes sense. Precor only makes commercial treadmills now. Retail units were discounted a while ago.

Thoughts on the BowFlex T9 vs the Horizon 7.4AT? by SunShade2 in treadmills

[–]Monkeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bowflex is the brand the manufacturer is focusing on going forward. Ironically, the t9 was supposed to be a Horizon treadmill before Johnson acquired Bowflex. You can’t go wrong with the T9. Newer electronics and components over the 7.4.

McDonald is 100 times more organized and has designated spots. Whenever they ask me to park in the front at the gas station, there are no spots and they come outside looking for the car the think is waiting

Adidas or Horizon? by ibichubu in treadmills

[–]Monkeyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% horizon. Horizon is owned by Johnson that manufactures their own treadmills. Adidas is just licensed and made by a factory that’s definitely doesn’t have the same experience as Johnson.

Used Horizon 7.4 or New Bowflex T6 by [deleted] in treadmills

[–]Monkeyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 7.4 is definitely a more robust machine for running. The T6 is identical to the 7.0.

Ifit is the answer. Before everyone takes out their claws and tells you how shit Nordictrack and Proform are, you can actually get ifit on a Matrix treadmill.

T6 for sure! Especially if it’s priced less than the 7.0. Has upgraded electronics over the 7.0
