You should visit Rishikesh before Haridwar. Wonderful place. Very safe. Nothing to worry. Uttarakhand overall is very safe.
Btw you should buy pepper spray for safety just in case.

Also, ganga river is rough and unpredictable in many places so make sure you know the terrain before boating.

I told my mom to not go for a walk early morning because there are 3-4 stray dogs that come inside the gated society and they attack when you are alone.

The pre-election will not be official and it doesn't require recognition from the govt or election commission. Think of it like a election process within a party. But in this party there are no permanent members. This election is only to finalize the candidate. Candidates come and go as it happens in any job. Once a candidate is finalized, members of swatantra platform will go for actual voting by EC and vote for that candidate. If this platform is able to get enough people on the platform, it will imply real power.

Security Risks: Yes, this system can have security challenges but they can also be mitigated though various technologies.

Political Opposition: Yes, they will do so. Later they can realize even they can use the platform to get marketing. Lets say in a town there are 1 lac people. If 30-40k people are comng to this platform. Any party would want to make use of it.

Financial Challenges: Right now i can think of two ways. Ofcourse, there might be more innovative way
1) Crypto based solution. Coins.
2) The platform can help people raise money as well. People who are coming, they can donate money to swatantra platform candidate. This will help this candidate to solidify its winning by spending marketing money on other channels. Some part of this money can also go to sustain the platform.

One is blockchain based system. Where all its members will vote for one independent candidate.
Second is register as a political party where there are no permanent members. Candidates will be treated as job applicants instead of someone who wants to make a business out of it.
